it hurt yes but its not that simple to look back and say we should have wells goddard and mclean as the whole dynamics of our team today would be different with completely different personnel.

i think the effect of the draft penalties is actually overstated - our entire club has been in a mire but now we are moving on and thats all i mean in forgetting about those penalties - we have more than capilatised on the penalties in the past 3 years adding murphy gibbs kreuzer and judd

When did Cloke do his knee? I thoughtt he played out the game? They will all be missed and it's only 2 weeks, but Clokes a big loss, we need him in the ruck. Kruezer isn't quiet good enough yet.

We have Hampson to ruck for us, Hampson + Kruezer = drool

Surely this indicates how important keeping all our draft picks this year is. Get as many in as you can because there not much to come in to replace those injured.

Melvey if you are advocating not trading for Kerr, then I think I love you. :-D

we're in love then

It'll be a light training week for Hampster who pulled up sore after today's game - just feeling the effects of the badly sprained ankle that has plagued him the last 2 weeks. No ligament damage - just soreness.

We seem to be getting a lot of hamstring injuries at the moment. Does that say something about a change in the type of physical conditioning they're getting under Kemp? Or is that more a reflection on having a few more of the zippy burst types, who seem to get hamstring injuries more than others?

I agree. If ever there was a good draft to have picks #1 and #2 taken off us then 2002 was that year. Pick #5 in 2003 might have netted us McLean however it probably would have resulted in Kane Tenace or Kepler Bradley. No huge loss IMO.

So then is the Cloke knee story just a rumour, not as bad as it seemed or being hidden? Anyone know?

It would of made us more competitive short term as well, meaning we probably wouldnt of been rubbish enough to net the last 3 number 1 picks, as we have.

correct - in a macabre kind of way the AFL actually helped us with the reaming

Post subject:  Is Cloke injured or not?

I do not get it, some people are saying he is injured and out for 2 and others are saying he is fine.

I hope he is fine we need him, but could someone rectify it for me please.

Cloke says he's not... so let's go with that.

See the quote on page 9 of the Carlton v West Coast thread.

Post subject:  Judd injured??

Channel 10 have him listed as doubtful for the game next week....

If he cant play next week .... Must he miss the following week??

Is he injured?

Author:  TruBlueBrad [ Sat May 03, 2008 9:13 pm ]
Post subject:

He had his ankle re strapped last night during the third quarter.

I don't believe players will be forced to miss the following week if they're unavailable for the HOF match.

I hope he misses next week. Would rather he rest for the game against the Lions. It's not a proper state of origin, pretty pointless really.

So what's happening, perhaps a TalkingInjuries thread is all that is required...

Then again, we have TalkingPolitics and TalkingSocials, which I don't think i've ever been to.
