All summer I have witnessed people on here taking the absolute piss out of Richmond. They have been saying stuff like "Richmond are in the box seat for this" or "Richmond are in the box seat for that". And what exactly were we celebrating? Getting a player that they wanted (Judd). The fact that we got the number 1 pick despite them being last (as pro tanking as I am, I still would not gloat about this easily, it is not exactly an achievement). I think in the end a lot of you were trying to make yourselves feel good about Carlton by taking excitement and happiness at Richmond's misery.

Well on Thursday night Richmond were in the box seat.... to give us a much needed reality check. We should not be comparing ourselves to Richmond. They might do alright this year with a few wins but won't be in the top four anytime soon. We should be comparing ourselves with Geelong. We should be looking at what Geelong have, the structure they have in place, the types of players they have and how they play.
