no big deal, its pretty hard to tell when it changes i reckon, i reckon i probaly drived around 60 in a 40 k zone bout twice today on the way home from footy training, its hard to tell when it changes coz it goes 60 to 40 back to 60.

So yeah no big deal, he sounded pretty remorseful, took it on the chin and offered help to others so thats good.

Move on.

That's a problem I've found in Melbourne too. As well signposted the roads are down there, the school zones aren't.

In NSW, the school zones are very clearly marked at the start, sometimes during, depending on the length, and the end, when it goes out of the school zone.

And, all school zones are being installed with flashing light signs which light/flash during the operational hours/days, which can be confusing to someone who isn't a parent. I know when the school zones operate these days because MrsKK is a teacher.

Few years back I was driving in rural Queensland, probably a 110 zone, might have been 100, anyway we pass through this small town with a little school right next to the highway and the sign says:

School Zone
90

They breed 'em quick up there.

It's not like he was doing doughies in the quadrangle for f's sake, he was doing 60kms at 2pm. Two years ago the only people doing 40 passed a primary school were kiddy-fiddlers

It actually is a great story.

It was an undercover cop, I was in the right lane hitting 140-150 and I saw a burgundy Magna come up my ass, so I decide to hit 160. I move into the middle lane to let him pass me, but follows me into the middle lane and is right up my arse again. I then moved into the left lane and kept the speed limit, but the prick was still tailing me (mind you, he never turned on his lights/siren from about Blackburn Rd exit up until Stud Rd exit). My heart was pounding all the way until he finally pulled me over.

Only mentioned that he hit 140 chasing me but luckily he didn't see I hit 160. Gave me a warning but I was very lucky I didn't get my car towed and lose my license. Pretty scary for the first time being pulled over.

Here's the next installment.

Aren't the 40 zone during certain times of the day, like at drop off and pick ups. So 20 minutes earlier at it was probably a 60 zone.

Maybe the cop was a Carlton supporter.

In other breaking news apparently Fev has also been caught jaywalking, downloading copies of Underbelly and watering his garden on the wrong day.

Yes, here we have "speedsters". Over in Perth they have "speed freaks".
