In theory you are spot on that he needs to be brought through carefully, like most young kids.
The problem, IMHO, with Hampson is that fact that he struggled with motivation until he played the last few games last year, and the first few this year to date in the one's. I can't see him taking a stint in thw two's very well.....
In order to get the best out of him we need to keep him busy in the ones.
