I meant the ones I've met Tommi, although I was willing to take a guess at it if I saw an eyepatch :-D

I was there too early for you KP. Right about the kiddies activities though, much better this year.

Tell you what though, I was surprised by the amount of of sloping foreheads I saw in the morning, I thought it was a collingwood family day for a while.

Today was the first one I've been to. My family had a great time, the kids got to kick goals at the Legends Stand end. Well done CFC - the players were professional & friendly even when mobbed by people for autographs & photos, the kids stuff was good, there was enough food stalls & even the weather was on our side!!!!

All in all a really positive atmosphere that hopefully is a sign of the club truly turning the corner & returning to successful times!!!

It was my first family day today and I couldn't believe the amount of people there! The carpark and surrounding streets were full, queues for everything were massive and trying to track down players was near on impossible. Unfortunately my little one ran out of patience quick and I just missed out on Hoops who had to go to the presentation, Benjiman when my phone started to ring, Russell when I ran into an old work colleague but I did manage to get Skinny and I was pretty happy about that as he's one of my all time faves

Image

Boy these guys get hounded. I felt sorry for them. You could tell they are getting a tad frustrated. Only natural I suppose. The presentation was good. Ratts gave a little rundown on all the players, introduced them all and talked about how they were travelling through the pre-season. Biggest cheers reserved for Murphs and Fev. Pratt made a couple of slip ups but thats ok, he's the boss.

The queues for the players in the tents were extraordinary! I dont have that much patience so I couldn't be fagged waiting but these guys are in hot demand.
I thought the set up was good but trying to get merchandise was really hard, especially when you're carting a little one around and 2 tonnes of her stuff. I gave up in the end and might go there when its quiet. I wanted to deck out my girl in Carlton gear but not to be.
I'm surprised they only signed 850 members as I was there about 1 hour or so and the membership tents were chockers the whole time. The place had a great feel to it and the club handled the day well. I always love getting back to Princes Park. Its a great old ground and brings back lots of memories of all the great games and times had there. Used to love standing in the Heatley stand as the boys piled on the goals to that end. Shame its all in the past.

Just cant wait for round 1 to come around! 8)

Great post Marci.

The club should sent Fatprick that miniature Visy bin your daughter is holding to act a receptacle for the sourced articles he has written about Carlton.

A great initiative by the club to hand the bins out to the kids and introduce them into the Visy family. 8)

I wonder if the 850 are new members only and that figure does not include the renewals???

Hey!! I was there in the morning  .

It was great to see so many Blues there. It was very busy. I reckon they could have sold heaps more merchandise and twice the memberships if they had the registers working properly.

Anyoop, it was a good thing they were flat out.

I was there with Mrs. Zone the little zones, who had a ball. I actually it was very good but withut being critical, last year was a little better. It was still very good though.

Marciblue's face was very familiar, because I saw this guy that looked liked Andrew Demetriou; and that was you marciblue!

It gave me another idea. We should have a T'cer's family day with the whole day people saying: "Oh, I imagined you looking different!"

It was a great day. A lot of fun.

For God's sake, will someone bring on '08!

God, I didn’t realise I’d aged that much! Maybe a young looking AD perhaps without the mo…

That's still not a good thing...

Great day, but I was appalled this guy was given a gig, and then had the balls to not flush or wash his hands after using the cubicle. :x

I had a great day (until i got to the cricket but that's a different story). Dad and I got there early (thought it started at 10  ) but it was well worth it as i managed to snare a photo with Juddy in the carpark and i didn't have to fight through the crowds or line up for a couple of hours! Had a bit of a chat to Sheilds...he looked a bit lonely standing next to Zaccy, i don't think people new who he was. I was lucky enough to win the raffle to present a player with their jumper. I was meant to have Hammer (so excited!) but they had no idea when they were trying to organise everything and just started handing out jumpers to people so ended up with Cam Cloke which was still good but not the same as Hammer!

Hahaha, that was quite funny. You looked a little shy getting your photo taken!

Put it up!

Sorry marciblue. I forgot to mention: a better looking, younger version of Andrew Demetriou.

And also you had air of celebrity about you which was unmistakably alluring. :)
