Apparently the Pratt stand will also be demolished to open up the ground for local patrons. I'd say a bronze statue of Pratt at the entrance would be a good substitution for a stand :-D

The pratt stand is to stay. The smorgy land plans had planned to demolish it.... gee i wonder why

Those plans are still alive for the Pratt stand, not just a part of SmorgyLand.

I thought if the Pratt stand was demolished it would make way for a fencing academy funded by the government... wasn't that the original plan

If there's any bastard out there that's thinking of objecting to these plans I'm hereby letting it be known that I have a baseball bat that likes kneecaps!

Surely there's a big dicked sparrow or something that nests in the back of the Heatley stand that will grind this to a halt?

..and despite the fact they will get rid of that stupid corrugated iron eyesore of an excuse of council storage...

Quote:
But former lord mayor and local activist Trevor Huggard said he was certain parkland would be lost. "It (an increase in park space) has never, ever happened in the history of Melbourne in the last century … Carlton is not accountable to anyone in that sense."

There is always someone....

get that bat ready

I guess this is a big BUMP! ...but i couldn't find another thread and I didn't want to start a new one.

Spoke to someone in the know today...demolition of the Heatley starts in about 2 weeks. There's been some delays with some of the final building contracts...Swanny making sure all is in order after the St.Kilda Frankston fiasco - as soon as the figures are squared away then the wrecking ball moves into place.
