The only thing in Dermie's favour is that he stood up to an arsehole who was mistreating a puppy on Dee Why beach when he played for the Swans.

Other than that, take away the clock and stats sheet and he's lost.

Shame though, cos a few years back, he seemed to be developing an independent mind when it came to footy insights.....

Was that before or after he stomped on Rayden Tallis' head?

For mine, the finest moment of Dermie's career was the opeing minutes of the 89 GF ... Mark Yeats, you're my hero.

Der-mott is a clown and really lowers the tone of Nine's coverage.
Loved both the Blues fade outs "statistics prove it" and Campbell Brown's dropped mark with five minutes to go on his own, "not a skill error"
Also getting sick of Eddie blowing up Cometti's tyres, -guys save it for the showers.
Loved Cometti about Thurgood, "he came out a little gingerly".

Easy London........

nobodys said Derr-mott goes with sheep.......!

and if you can set it up.......i'd be more than
happy to explain to him.....his failings......!

as a special comments person......thats it.......!

and as far as tools go........they have been
around since the sharp rock........!

disagree Tommi

if comments were only directed to his commentating ability or playing record fair enough. but read a little better and you'll get direct claims on the person himself.

I think pretty cheap shots from this bunch.

we do not condone personal attacks on other posters, but are happy to accept that we can lay them on people outside this community.

I have known him for a long time and can confirm that he is a man whose heart is in the right place and is a loyal as they come.

I also think that his commentating was very ordinary on Friday and too often he will talk before he thinks.

Above it all he is a good bloke, and we are here happy to hide behind the protected cloke of TC offering our own version of Friday bias and throw away lines.

Most importantly where do we draw the line on personal attacks - only to those who actively particpate on TC?

Only met him once and he was really friendly, a lot nicer than some Carlton players I've spoke to before.

Yeah nah.........

agreed with personal persecution London......
that's not it...........!

it's the non biased approach to special
comments.....which i have issues with.........!

they are non existent......!

and honestly....set up a meeting.....
and i'm there......surely he will listen to me....
he's an amicable kinda bloke you say........it
can't all be about who's bigger.....and stronger.......!

kindest regards tommi
