a) He plays it well sometimes - but has nothing on other 'sweepers' in the compeition.
b) He only plays it because he is lazy and unaccountable and can't handle a direct opponent. Time and time again at the start of the game he was given an opponent.

10 minutes in and his 'opponent' and run wild - got 6 touches and the coaches were forced to make a change - upsetting team balance and - as per usual - letting Scotland off the hook.

Letting him off the hook off-field is one thing...on field is unacceptable.

Good skills - yes
Midfield option - no
One trick pony - you bet
Tradeable - yep (i reckon another team might take a gamble)
Window of opportunity to trade - small...NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW!

bit rough?

Yeah, why sign him now before we see what might be on the cards come trade week?

CFC - the most conservative club in football history. Just what do we have to preserve at number 15 on the ladder? Tell me the last club to win the flag from a starting point of last position without some short term sacrifice and how many years did it take? :?

Brisbane Lions in 1998.

Took them 3 years.

We cannot give away all our experienced players. Scott shits us all from time to time but he does a lot of good things also. May see a different Scotto with Ratts around. I would like to see him play more midfield next year.

It's got nothing to do with being conservative, it has however got to do with common sense. Tell me the last club to trade its most consistent player over the previous two seasons (in our case 2006/7)?

He is not always consistant, but he is an experienced hard body we need right now. Later on when our young guys step up to the plate, he will be phased out. I dont think Ratts will stand for his sometimes poor disposal.

We can say exactly the same for Carazzo.. I still think that no other teams worry about him because he wont hurt you with his possessions. Out of 30 disposals may only 10 will fully hurt the opposition. If you notice the number of times he handballs or kicks to a player who is in danger. Man it shits me up the wall.

But again, I think things will change with our better coaching set up next year.

Also on the Scotland topic we need stability and you know he will give you at least 20 possies per game. Should be playing mid though as well.

Why would it be?

Fev was more brilliant in 2006 and Lance's first half of the season was very good that year. In 2007 Carrazzo deservedly won the Best and Fairest but he was nowhere near this level in 2006. Heath Scotland on the other hand over the two seasons I would argue has been our most consistently good player. This is not to say that he hasn't had any poor games, of course he has, but I would venture to say that they have been relatively few when compared to his teammates OVER THE TWO YEARS.
