I, too, am a relatively new to this sport, and I have names of my own for each of these clubs. The list as per the ladder at the end of R22 this year is (NB - not many derogatory names among it, but I am also happy to adopt any others' nicknames - there is history behind each of them, much of which I don't know):

1. The Corio Chokers, The Bellarine / Pivotonian Pussies
2. Weagles / the West Coast Chokers
3. Port Pies
4. [don't have one for this lot]
5. Dawks (but love the Poo+Wee reference to their colours)
6. Collingfilth / Magfilth / Dragpies / Eddie's lot
7. Swines
8. [don't have one for this lot]
9. Aints / St Like-It-Like-That
10. Gabba Pussies
11. [don't have one for this lot]
12. Essenscum / Bummers
13. [don't have one for this lot]
14. Dees
15. The Mighty Blues / The Old Dark Navy Blues / The Big Blue Tankers
16. Punt Road Pussies

I know there are other codes around the world that have nick-names for their opposition - you'll find nicknames in the EPL, NFL, etc, that are not respectful but just good fun! I followed the NRL for many years but can not recall any of the teams' nicknames apart from shortened versions of their mascot names
