spot on
if the club want pagan gone, they pay out his contract and we move on.
unless he has clauses written into his contract by either him or the club, there should be nothing to discuss.
if pagan is sacked let's hope the club does not think this will solve all our problems. IMO if pagan goes there should be a queue to follow him out.
the shame about it will be that a new coach will come in with money, support, resources and a decent playing list to work with.I couldn't disagree more, sorry. You don't need any of those things as a coach to have a list playing for you and getting the basics sorted, like manning up, tackling, chasing and running to position. See Laidley: Noth Melbourne.
I'm not absolving the players from what happened yesterday, but Pagan has totally lost this group and must shoulder the responsibility for that. If these rumours that he is playing hard ball are true then he is startging to disappoint me as a person in addition to disapoointing me as a coach.
players should be playing for the club, not for the coach, but i understand your point.
getting the basics sorted, we are talking about professional footballers here, surely they do not need a coach to assit them in executing the basic skills of football.
most of these guys have played football their entire lives
coaches can assist in refining their skills.
Laidley: Noth Melbourne- actually has the support of his club. at the end of 2006 he set out a plan for 2007 and the club backed him.
at the end of 2006 carlton tried to replace pagan with mitchell and we saw what happened.
