The kids arent coming along cos we have a confusing gameplan.
They wouldnt have the foggiest on what theyre meant to doing out there.
Best block put on by a Carlton player this year? Cloke..and he learnt that at Collingwood.
No blocks.. no checks.. no shepherds... no accountability.. no possesion of the football.

Denis and Co have no idea what football in this day and age are about,

Saddington CHB???? stop it youre making me laugh....
Ackland as the ruckman??... oh im stitching up my sides..
Lance captain??... stop it.. i cant breathe...
Kids not knocking down the door to play???... if he doesnt give them a red hot chance at a team like ours.. they lose confidence in their own abilities...

And we are starting to see that.

I said a couple of years ago... Denis treats the team like a box of redhead matches... and he burns them!!!

Can he do the right thing and go??

Totally agree this time Synbad ... and there are changes taking place in the background from what i heard ... Even now i dont believe Pagan winning makes much difference to his fate and perhaps the same message is coming to Mitch with the recent performances from the Bullants

Pagan wont be coach in 2008 neither will Mitchell be in the coaching group of the CFC in 2008

One senario will be Voss coach / Ratts if he remains Reserves coach.

Expect Voss to pick his own team so not sue who will remain in the current coaching group.

The team is not as poor as the performance but just no longer supporting the curretn coach. There are so many problems associated with the Carlton coaching From Pagan who definately lost the group would have very little idea of what is happening in the Ants. Mitch no longer focused as he is seperated from the CFC all in all just such a poor club enviroment no wonder the players are playing like they are lost and all oer the place.

Pagans tenure would have been back 3 rounds ago safe to end of 2007 now he may be gone within 2 weeks depending on the next couple of perfomances

Carlton needs a new coach (imo Voss) who will clean out the coaching department and clean out the team of any unwanted and useless players. start over fresh and build the team up from there.
I am at a loss with Carlton, one week im proclaiming that they have "turned the corner", the next week they play like wooden spooners and it really pisses me off and i think a whole lot of carlton supporters are feeling the same way.

A loss to Melbourne will really bring things to a crisis point. Which in terms of spurring others to action will be a good thing.

But a crisis at Carlton is pretty much old news now, because we've been a basket case for almost 6 years.

who says voss will only go for youngsters or any coach for that matter...
voss may want to trade a couple of high picks and get some leadership in the group... its what we need...

Give us examples...

And if Voss wants to trade high draft picks he shouldnt have the job.
Unless you can illustrate what youre talking about with some kind of logic thats to the clubs benefit.
Examples of who for what.

DOES ANYONE ELSE PLAY FOR CARLTON???

Part of the problem is a lack of leadership.
Part of me loves the Fev but he was a disgrace on Sat. No excuses. Your argument seems that other players do the same thing and dont get the same scrutiny. True to some extent but as you know if you have a past it comes back to bite you on the arse.
Fevola went at pick 38 because he sooked back then.

He sooks now . He hasnt learnt .

He hasnt grown up enough.
And he is a senior player

One of the many examples of why the club is shit.

The problems with Fevola needs to be addressed.

Counselling that isnt negotiable

Dont forget he was shown the door 5 years ago only to get a reprieve.

Look at what Geelong has done with the extensive review of the footy department.

They gave Mooney a anger management course. Non negotiable

Seems to have worked

The club offered Fevola some sort of counselling. He either didnt take it up or it hasnt worked.

The guy gets 400000 to play a team sport. He aint playing for the team

Fevolution . Stop sticking up for him.

Surely your not as blinkered as the footy department.

Saturday's effort was an embarrasment

Easy tiger... I think they're saying Fev's body language was the symptom not the cause.

it just pisses me off that supporters are all blamin the shit were in on Fev. i mean bloody hell.

It was a joke. Learn to do this from time to time    it will help keep you sane.

The worst thing is that we have nothing to look forward to.....there's no great players coming back from injury or young kids demanding a game by dominating in the reserves.....there's no light on the horizon.

We had two cameo games of exciting footy which turned out to be a mirage......and that's it.

And......I'm an optimist !

Beautifully put. I'm a half full person too!

This Mitchell/Pagan fiasco isn't helping re player develpment and how bloody helpless do we all feel? Oh for the days that we'd be the last Club on earth to put up with something like this.

This sums it up well.

Quote:
Carlton had promised its supporters an end at least to the ritual slaughters to which they have been subjected so regularly the past five years. But it hasn't happened. Saturday's loss was the fourth this season by 10 goals or more and the 26th since Pagan assumed the coaching reins in 2003 — more than 25 per cent of his 101 games as Carlton coach.

The Blues simply throw in the towel far too often. And there's a real danger now that the rest of 2007 could be a train wreck of continued beltings and plummeting morale, causing who knows what damage to the psyches of Murphy, Gibbs, Jordan Russell, Adam Hartlett, Josh Kennedy and several other up-and-coming Carlton youngsters with minimal or no senior experience to this stage.

It has less to do with who we have in the engine room at the moment and whether they are all on song or not and far more to do with who is steering the ship !

Fair or otherwise, Pagan must go now to take the heat out of the situation and so does Sticks, he must step down from the MC once it is announced.

Allow Ratts to caretake and give his tilt at the coaching position a red hot go.

Let Swan and Icke do what they are paid for and pick the new coach as they see it in the best interests of the Club, with minimum emotion and maximum professioonal acumen.

The whole sorry, pathetic Pagan/Mitchell situatiuon will dissolve into history at year end.
