thought and speech affects action. Everything we say on here, positive or negative effects the playing group and CFC directly or indirectly

i think that positivity around the club can bring out more than we're capable of...that run of 6 weeks where we won the NAB Cup, and won 2 of our first 3 games was all due to a positive feel around the club. sure we got brought down to earth and are facing reality, but EVERYTHING went right and the boys showed what they can be capable of.

I'm neither an optimist nor a pessimist.....I'm a realist!

You've gotta call a spade a spade and nothing makes me angrier than having sunshine blown up my jacksie when none is warranted.

Oddly enough it tends to happen when folk are defending players on our list.

I got blasted a while back for calling a spade a spade regarding a number of players like Mr Sporn.....oddly enough all the players I suggested were not up to it strangely disappeared from our list at the end of that year. Mysteriously my early call on the "Spoon" also came true.

Give me a realist anyday.

Just a warning though, if you are a realist and you post the truth...be prepared for the following:

* You will be crucified

* You will be labeled a pessimist

* And your loyalty as a Carlton person will be strongly questioned

* Oh yeah, the chances are you will also be verbally abused (swearing and all).

Now lets discuss some of our personel. :wink:

Pretty damn spot on nytdog! :idea:

But it has gotten easier this year hasn't it.

We are getting closer to the mark.

A couple more decent youngsters and a mature player or two would be handy. Our list will be looking truely promising and capable. We are going to have a bit of trouble though as we don't have many mid to mature aged players.

Add some experience and we've got a as much chance as anyone in a couple of years time.

If only the AFL would stop rooting around with the rules....I might just enjoy watching footy again one day.

Isn't that interesting coming from someone who's been acting high and mighty about people giving Bannister a chance straight after the game. :lol:

NY DOG

Food for thought:

Kouta= 23 possesions in a half....10 contested...instrumental in the last term.

Bannister= Undeniably fantastic today...destroyed Brad Johnson....a player who sits in the top ten forwards in the AFL.

Saddington= Played well...gets better each week. Has just got his match fitness back for the first time since he was a very good Swans player.

The rest are debatable.
