I think we should get the club to set up a panel made op of TC members and we'll elect the next coach - actually we do not even need a coach., lets use this forum on gameday.

Why not? It'll help to ensure we never pick up duds like Ackland again.

Yep I'm sure he'll give you the time you deserve!

He interrupted a media conference and was pretty condescending towards Pagan. Pretty sure that Pagan mentioned to send him a letter if he wanted to ask more.

What were you expecting? The man had a pre-organised press conference, followed by a pre-organised training session. Perhaps the bloke could have pre-organised a time too. Read what you want into what that says about Pagan, but I don't think it says much about the bloke one way or the other.

so I take Ockham you think Pagan is beyond approach he is at an elite level that he shouldn't have to answer to the people who are paying for his salary - If it was good enough for board members to come on here why should Pagan be exempt - and how do you know I haven't tried to contact him before

Denis is not beyond "approach", nor even reproach. My post actually suggested 3 methods by which he could be contacted in a polite, professional manner.

I read your post and laughed when SB suggested you thought Pagan was beyond approach.

As for Walker 'tagging' Thomas on Saturday.....SB, do you believe Andrew McLeod is played at half-back to 'tag' an opposition player?

Andrew McLeod is 31 years old .. when he was 21 he played in the middle...

What is the problem? We are going along beautifully.

We had a pre-season cup win and gained some money and another trophy for the cabinet. We had a good win against Richmond and a nice come back from behind against Essendon* which will haunt them for another 12 rounds.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. We are not very good. Pagan is coaching badly, but does it matter? Do you really want us to win? We need that PP and we need it bad. We will rise to the top, but let's not do it too quick. We are getting some nice game time into our kids.

All in good time.

I'm sure you had a good chuckle to yourself TBB but I didn't realise I had logged on to Talking Grammer .

Now its interesting that you would bring out the long bow and draw a comparison with Mcleod and Walker . Considering these two sides game plans couldn't be further apart . Craig has all his moves generated from the backline his plan is totally defensive if it cant be simulated on the computor it doesn't get done and yet he still allows one of his ball players in Mcleod free license to use his creativity and launch most of their forward movement through him.
Pagan on the other hand plays quick movement attacking kick it to the hot spot brand of football which requires players to do a lot of running be able to break lines and kick long and direct -and have big petrol tanks to last out the game All of these attributes we have seen in Walker .

so explain to me why again Walker was chasing some hairy arse kid from Collingwood around the MCG again

Sydney,

If that was the case then perhaps someone should attempt to make contact with him via Stehpen M or Mark H?

But I reckon it would be over pretty quickly if it became a session full of cheap shots and potting of the tactics.

Also, maybe I'm making my assumption about your intention based upon your signature

Whilst an on-line forum to Coach concept falls through because of our anonymity, I'd be happy to request a M&D interview with DP and use questions that you come up with here. It reduces the ability to follow-on and could be a bit fluffy but I know there's an opening for that if we want to push for it.

Why don't we each write one question that we'd like answered, put them all into a letter addressed to Denis (cc-Mr. Pratt) and ask if he could reply.

I might not like him as a coach but i have heard many a stories saying how much of a decent and honest man he is, i'm sure we'd get some sort of reply!
