It says alot about the birthplaces of the two clubs. In only the fourth generation from the clubs inception, you can still see obvious threads from their past.

Collingwood - Prostitutes, drug addicts, alcoholics and prisoners

Carlton - University lecturers, Entreprenuerial migrants and budding scholares 8)

The only reason there's so many of the ferals is because they can't afford birth control.

My 2 sisters in law AND brother in law barrack for the scum and neither one speaks this language.

Having said that none of them wear mocassins, acid wash jeans, carry stubbie holders, so that could be why they don't speak scum.

Echo what Deano said - none of that weird prefab AFL approved St Kilda/Geelong "rivalry" crap just good old-fashioned hatred.

Sometimes wondered why I have more respect for their team than for their supporters. Nice reminder that.
I was there at Princes Park in 77. I remember how they picked on Carlton people from behind and unprovoked. I saw their lot running too.

As you often do Deano, hit the nail on the head. There is a different feeling to Carlton/Collingwood games. You just cant explain it till you are there at the ground. Its a feeling from years and decades of shared experiences.

Collingwood fans are what they are, feral toothless sociopaths. If it was any different, it wouldnt be as fun.

As well as the 1970,79,81 GF and the 1988 QF, the other bad memory for Pies fans is the 1992 Collingwood Centenary game.
Thurs night at the G, Carlton had just been done by the Dogs from memory on the Sunday, Collingwood were high up on the ladder. Its was time for the to celebrate their history. Whoops, we belted them, Sticks kicked 7 I believe and their commemorative posters had to be burnt.
Best thing is they wont get a chance to get revenge till 2092

Kinda raising the bar a bit I know, but I liked Eddie's press conference announcing the appointment of Gary Pert as the Pies new CEO ... when he was going on about how much he loves 9 and Collingwood and blabbing away I thought I was going to puke. Also thought he was putting just a few tickets on himself when he said he'd been the face of the Nine Network for the last 15 years.

Agree......one of Eddies most unconvincing performances..

I love it.

This is the one!

Two games a year, etc...

And don't forget the latest spice: The poaching of Greg Swann and Anthony Barham.

Gee, wouldn't it be nice to stick this victory up T Jones' arse!

Go Blues, bury the Filthly rabble.

Im coaching the side I have played with for the past 16 years this year. We wear magpie colours. The last few years the club nearly went to the wall. We had numerous Collingwood supporting players and our overall playing group was splintered into little groups. This year we decided to have one last crack at saving the club. Three straight wins no losses, ave winning margin 97.66666, great atmosphere at games and after game dinners - 50% of my boys are Carlton supporters :-D and we now have only one (great bloke though) Collingwood supporter.
