I (and molsey) had a meeting with Tony this morning before I got a chance to read the papers and he mentioned something about Big Nick and round one. Hope my blank stare wasn't too blank.

Great idea and initiative, long may they continue.

I am sure that "Nick" won't be too popular with the older Tiger supporters who still remember Nevillel Crowe being rubbed out for retaliating and missing the 1967 GF!

There's going to be one of those toyota re-enactments with Nev in the grandstand and Nick going down when Nev tries to wave hi....

alternatively Nick starts in the pocket and knocks out Gaspar within the first couple of minutes...GAspar plays on, but Fev goes on to kick a bag...

PURE GOLD!! It's now my laptop background (I have the Jezza Yo Be-yo-tay mark from full-back on my PC and from the stand on my phone)

I think this is an excellent idea and I wonder YTF they hadn't done this before ..

Get behind it, Jezza .. also Fitzy, Harmesy, and maybe some of the 95'ers .. and maybe even some of the the '45'ers or '47'ers ... etc etc etc .. bloody gold, I tells ya!

AFAIK....there's still animosity between Harmesy and the CFC....he hasn't seen us play for years.

pity .. given his part in the controversy of the 79 GF .. still, some of the greats have issues on living in the past .. I understand it will be difficult to get the Doormat involved to this extent .. there's another name to add to the would-be-good-if list ...

Pretty sure Harmesy was at the last game at Princes Park - but I have read somewhere that he prefers to go see Richmond play these days (the team that he followed as a youngster) - this seems a strange turn of events for someone who played in 3 Premierships and was the inaugaural Norm Smith Medallist. :?

Geez, I remember these guys as Gods.
I remember Paul Hurst being on the bench one game (this is before the interchange) and just exploding when he come on, basically thumping the first guy opponent he saw.

I don't think so.
If I remember correctly, he just sees himself as a Richmond supporter because his grand-father was a tigers coach.

his maternal grandfather is the late (great) len smith who was / is often credited with inventing the "modern game". len coached richmond before hafey (ie pre 1965). harmes may have been 5 years of age when len smith was replaced as coach of richmond!

despite this, harmes made it clear a couple of years ago that while he was a servant of CFC he considers himself a tigers man ...

is his attitude due to some fallout with CFC? i just find it hard to believe that he would declare his loyalty to a club who gave him nothing!!!
