Right this minute, the whole thing is just a dream, so we live the dream as a dream, and look at the possibilities, positives and negatives; that's all!
Synbad, who did you barrack for in the VFA?

Whats wrong with the Bullies?
Lots, I'll refer to my post in a thread I started last year...gotta find it...but there's too many negatives.

Why wouldnt we have a thriving satellite club in the heart of one of the most football fertile areas in Melbourne?
Why wouldnt we use the Bullies to farm and harvest future Carlton supporters in the Northern suburbs?
Thriving satellite...Bullants....???

You must be thinking of the growth corridor up past Reservoir.
You're dreaming if you think they're the answer to grow our reach..... they're a rabble.....lucky to still exist....and they've got Collingwood roots.
Why can't we do the same as CARLTON, CARLTON andf only CARLTON?.
I don't give a shit about the ANTS Brand...I don't like following them, let alone the fact I couldn't get to 3 games a weekend to see all of Carlton's non injured players play. There's only one brand for me in AFL football and that's
CARLTON......and that's where the problem starts.
Lets look at the synergy in the spelling:
C A R L T O N
B U L L A N T S
No resemblance and no synergy whatsoever. We aren't an insect, we're the Mighty
BLUES
Now that's a much better dream than the Ants nightmare...which may I remind you happened as a stop gap, and will not be forever anyway...nearly never was after our first year of association...it's a big nothing...a moment in time...you're dreaming if you think it is forever....Carton do not own Preston's Bullants, and they are not Carlton. That's an obvious not a dream...it's a nightmare for me!
Hoping that we view the Bullants as Carlton is easy if you've been a former Preston and current Carlton supporter...what percentage of CARLTON's supporter base are traditional Bullants supporters?
ZIP!...a big nothing on the radar.
Anything can happen in the future, even the closure and cessation of Preston FC, The Bullants or whatever they are...there must be a plan B in such a precarious time when the ideas are being floated by the AFL. If we don't look at other possibilities other than our present 'temprary' situation we will fall behind the rest as we did when when the rest were working with the system called the draft, and we were still living in the past!
Stuck in the now is not a progressive position or one we should be content with in times of uncertainty and change...those types who do are what I would call "yesteryear's thinkers and yesteryear's people, because what is today will be yesterday tommorrow.
