Sorry TtoD, I didn't mean to gang up on you. You ananlysis was a good read. Its just your ratings are off. For example, I love Santy, I think he could be the best full back in the league by next year. But I thought he had a poor game and I would have given him 4/10.
Anyway, keep doing reviews, don't get put off by other peoplem, don't let them drag you down.

the best bower can do atm is replace saddo on the bench.

as for starting in the back six pretty hard for him to replace waite, thornton, o'hailpin, tex, scotto, houlihan..

Pagan interviewed this morning said he wants to keep the back 6 together as a unit and get them used to playing with each other.

I also would like to see Bower get a game in the back 6 and see Walker released to a midfield or utility role whether that be up forward or down back wherever we need him.

Dont worry about it mate - the whole point of this is to generate discussion. As soon as you post something, you are open for criticism and I understand and expect it. As long as the criticism is constructive and justified, I have no problem with it. I'm also going to stand up for my opinions though. As I mentioned before, the ratings are based upon the time of the year and I also factor in improvement seen from last year.

Dont think Carlos had as bad a game as you think - though he was outpointed in a few contests on the lead which was unfortunate, he started on Roughhead (who was goalless) and maybe moved onto Tim Boyle (?) who I think only kicked one goal on him if he did play on him.

Agreed. Either way, haven't seen enough from Saddo to indicate we should prefer him ahead of Bower's exciting development.

Just watched the replay again.

Clearly there was no accountability issue with Stevens, as has been raised. Stevens was only on Mitchell for the first 13 minutes, when Mitchell had 6 possessions Of those 6 possessions they were 50/50 opportunities that could have gone either way, and 4 were hanball receives.

Bentick went on to Mitchell with 7 minutes to go in the 1st Q, Russell had Bateman, Carrazzo had Hodge etc....and most of Mitchell's possessions were receives, not contested balls, let alone the fact that most of his possessions were in the back half. The question I have is who was accountable for Stevens.

Now that we have some depth in the midfield, I do not want Stevens to be a tagger, and want him to remain the play maker, link man...the player that delivers best by hand and foot into the forwardline.

3. Stevens
2. Murphy
1. Walker

Bring Bower back!
