Hated Shaw with a passion as a footballer. Felt sorry for him as a coach, he really did have a shithouse list to work with and I thought he did pretty well. I've even come to like him as a media person for the exact reasons Deano mentioned.

I remember something he said after he retired. There was talk of him coming to Carlton as an assistant to David Parkin. Someone asked him how it would feel being in the enemy camp and he explained that for him it was never really about the rivalry and a hated for Carlton/Essendon*, but the fact they were always important games that really motivated him.

Was on 927 mornings in 02 & I honestly don't know why I put up with it each morning. Maybe it was because it was the only sports radio at the time.

I understand where you are coming from but IMO the bandwagon will be full when we hit 40,000 members, full sponsorship, and FTA exposure nationally.
