Good topic this.

I haven't looked at The Games stats yet, but without looking at them we need Stevens, Murphy, Gibbs, Carazzo, Bentick to become goalkicking threats.

In the meantime Lappin, Kouta and Whitnall need to push forward and at least provide a threat. Has been good to see Cloke and Ackland push forward and look threatening in the 2 games to date (not something French, McLaren etc provided).

Also Cloke and Ackland need to push forward more. Everytime the forward line ruck duties are left to Whitnall or Fevola, it is an easy clearance to the opposition.

Basically we need either another class on baller or forward from the 2007 draft, and I guess if we win less than 4 games we could get both.

Don't worry about the technicalities surrounding who'll kick what. Goals will come from quick, precise movement from our midfield into our forward line allowing our forwards, tall and short time and space to run onto the ball. That's how the game's played.

Interesting to see just 4 Hawks continually in their forward 50 manned by just 4 Blues plus Scotland s a loose man. I like the way we followed the Hawthorn opponents into our forward line when they got players behind the ball. With our intensity, that put alot of pressure on the Hawthorn defenders, not allowing them to run the ball through the mid-field, their one big strength.
