i think that Judd vs Walker could potentially become a Silvagni/Ablett Carey/Jackovich or Buckley/Hird calibur rivalry...1AW is the perfect athlete to match up on Juddy.

if Judd isnt marked by Walker, the likely match-up would be Bannister i think..he seems to be the fast tagger.

Nic

I wouldnt waste Walker on Judd......you have to be proactive and win the footy in the middle and dominate yourself.
Judd, Kerr etc are going win their share of the footy regardless....WC have too many to tag....you have to back your own players and give them some licence to attack.
Everyone is in this defensive mindset that we need to be tagging.....the Bulldogs used to mass tag to limit the damage and it got them nowhere.
Selective tagging is fine but I wouldnt be using a attacking gun like Walker to tag at the espense of losing his drive...get him around the middle of the groun and let Judd chase him ......Kerr can chase Simpson....
Bannister is fine to tag with or Wiggo etc but not talented players like Murphy, Walker, Gibbs.....wouldnt be wasting them....

? vs Lance Franklin
P Bower. He can match him for height and for running ability, plus Bower will attack out of our defence and i don't think Franklin's accountability will be all that flash.

? vs Chris Judd
Murphy. Lets see a head to head match-up with the best midfielder in the comp against the future best midfielder in the AFL. Not tagging. A real head to head, attack is the best form of defence in imo.

? vs Jeff Farmer
Carrazzo. He has the pace to match him, he is our best back pocket player imo. I think he has played on him before and done alright. Definitely Carrots for mine.

? vs Adam Goodes
Setanta. He has the mobility to go with him, he has the size to match him. It would also be a great learning experience for him. If Waite is playing as a defender then i think he could be a very good match-up for him. However i question Waite's accountability at this stage, so first crack to the irishman.

? vs Ryan Griffin
Andy Walker. Head to head. Walker is a better player. He is faster, stronger and finds more of the pill. Walker would beat him.

? vs Scott Gumbleton
Lance. Gumby is only a rookie. Lance will be too smart, peel off all day and dominate rebounding out of defence. Essendon*'s focus will be Lloyd and Lucas all day long, while Whitnall jogs around doing as he pleases. This would be a definite will for us.

? vs Barry Hall
Livo. But seriously our best defender, Thornton, has to have first crack. If he is out muscled, then Hartlett. If Hall out wits him, then Saddo or O'hailpin can have next crack.

Walker isn't a better player than Griffin. He needs to do a bit more still.
