The thing I thinks irks most people is not only the obvious in what he did to the club, but his lack of remorse and contrition. I don't buy that he hasn't had a chance to redeem himself. He could easily at any time, take responsibilty for his actions, but he refuses to do so.

Yes we had some great success under him, but his style had a limited shelf life in the new era of the AFL (drafts, salary caps etc). If he was willing accept some responsibility, then I would be more willing to acknowledge some of his success.

Well put SA Blue.

Don't get me wrong, but I agree that he has not taken responsibility for his actions. Furthermore, when he knew the walls were falling around him as the AFL hovered above like a blood thirsty vulture, he was more interested in self preservation...and history tells us he lost the battle, and nearly our club....and that's all we care to remember.

I do believe that he has something to offer, and should if he could...and hopefully one day in my lifetime (and preferably in the next 2-3 years) he does redeem himself with Carlton at the foremost in his mind, rather than Jack...because if he truly has any pride, that's what I would be doing....turning the tables, and continue to do the best for my club.

He does owe us... maybe history will show that he did give us a son that enhanced the club's security in the future.

I just like good endings.

Keep up the fury mark No 3.

I too will never forget or forgive. I share your sentiments.

I may not agree with Sticks timing of his outburst given our precarious situation but I agree with his sentiments and God help anyone who gets in our way on the field in the next few years because as these kids grow in confidence they are going to really want to even the score and stick it up all the critics and pricks who they have had to endure.

Never forget!!

He's the one that got away with his evil ways.

Never forget that so and so...I will never forgive that sub human thing, whatever he is, and what he did to our club, and to other human beings he used as scapegoats for his wicked ways.

:-D ...........what pisses me off is....I had to extract 10 drawing pins from my timber wall in my Office/Study without stuffing the poster.

Then I couldn't find the Menzies photo.....so I asked my Wife to check.....then I got a bloody magnifying glass!....then I checked the glossary on the back.....
(each photo is itemised).....NOTHING!.....

You can just pick up the poster on the left.

Yep....it all happens in here ! ......I LERV it when non Carlton people

come in here and recoil at the visual onslaught of Carlton Premiership Posters

which makes them retort intelligently...."Ha.....whattabout lately?";

to which I reply...."How many posters in your Study?"....to which they

reply...."The missus wouldn't let me put up posters like that".....

to which I reply...."One from 1990 is not gonna be so

confrontational to the eye....surely?"............................................. :-D :-D :-D :-D

Who wrote this crap? There is no name attributed to it?

Why does Elliot still get a free run from the media? I get so pissed off with this crap. If they're going to dredge this prick up to allow him to put his 2 bobs worth in could they at least hold him a little bit accountable for our current plight instead of just allowing him to give his side.

There is now.

This is a picture of the framed picture of fthe 1995 premiers.
Bought it framed, and it hangs on the kitchen wall.
Hard to take a decent picture when it has glass in front.

The hard partit trying to work out the autographs.

I was beginning to think I was the only one who could remember this.

Never forget everyone its Ron Evans who is the Emporer Palpatine/Darth Sidious in all this - with his all to willing arse lickingapprentice Andrew Demetrispew/Darth Vader.

Essendon* were never too far behind in all the salary cap rorting and Evans was in charge of all that at the time - as Chairman of the AFL it was all too convenient - to deflect all the attention on Carlton - and Demetrispew was rewarded for his part in all this with the top job.

Dont worry Agro I doubt many of us will forget what that prick has done. I have hated him with a passion for over 20 years and Black Friday only intensified it.

Could say that he can stick his chairmanship up his $#%^ but it would be pretty crowded there at the moment......

Still gets me that we keep hearing about "institutional rorting" but never any details so that it can't be compared to any other salary cap breaches......very poor by the "Carlton supporting" media journos in particular.

Prick.

Ron Evan's the man who thinks its perfectly acceptable for his company Spotless Catering to charge $4.00 for bottle of Mt. Franklin water.

It costs Spotless Catering around 50 cents per bottle.

Ron Evans tell us how your company bought "Mustard Catering" for a price way under the odds - the catering company which had the contract for catering at Subiaco Oval, only you would have known that the AFL were going to fixture all AFL games at Subiaco rather than splitting them between Subiaco and the WACA.

Your a crook and a rip off merchant and you were in charge of Essendon* whilst they were rorting the Salary Cap - and you have the temerity to sit there in moral judgement about Carlton.

Your a slimy turd and deserve everything you get.
