Verbs we will be lucky to make the finals a couple of times in the next 8 years rather than win 4 flags.

in a draft like this, the number 5 pick could turn out better than the no.1 pick so it's all about the decision we make i fear we will go for gibbs this year and not pick up the player we are crying for in either hansen/gumbleton. it would have been really good to finish 15th this year as we would have avoided the spoon and still got a pick worth the value of a no.1

F**K no.1 pick, agree with true_blue24, Essendon*, if they finish second last, will probably get the player they wanted at first anyway, so could we so why finish last?????

Please win tomorrow, please, please.....

And you call yourselves supporters? You are all F@%&#! disgraceful. How can you barrack for a team and hope they win the wooden spoon? If you really supported them, you would want them to beat the Dockers tomorrow to show that we are a great team. We have always been a great team and by hearing that we want Gibbs or any of those others, I feel ashamed to be on this board with such morons who only want the PPs and draft picks.

Why do I go for Carlton? They are a great team. Great players and great attitude all round. I know last week we drew with the Scum (I was dissappointed too), but this week we can beat the Dockers and put the Scum back on the bottom where they belong.

Going for Carlton we always hope that something like this comes along. The year we put either Collingwood or Essendon* on the bottom of the ladder and hear others call them crap and what not. I don't want to hear it about my team, I love my team and hope every week they win.

I love shouting things out to the Scum calling them wooses and losers. It's the joy of being a Carlton supporter. Yelling/Screaming "WEEEEEEEEE AREEEEEEEEE THE NAVY BLUESSSSSSSSSSS" after a win is one of the best feelings in the world. Maybe that should be my wedding song

Oh and for those that tip against us week after week, you are lame. I tip Carlton week after week, even though I know they could lose or will lose. I sacrafice my tips to show how much I love my team. So, I don't go to the footy often, I still come on here or watch them on TV. Yes I get yelled at coz I talk to the TV, but hey, that's the fun in being a supporter.

If you want the PPs, then don't call yourself a supporter, call yourself a backseater coz some of us here actually have faith in the boys and some of us love them no matter how shit they truely are.

Hello there
I love reading stuff like this and discover that there are still people like me who Bleed each week when we lose.

I'm taking my liul girl to her 2nd game tomorrow. She as there last year when we beat Richmond.
Let it be the same
I"D LIKE TO SEE THAT!!

Is John Meeson still out of contract?

Otherwise we can get Gardiner for free in the PSD.

I don't think we needed the spoon this year. The draft is so strong we were in a great position anyway.

We really need to win tomorrow to get our buffer back cause Essendon*'s run home is marginally easier than ours. We both play the Hawks, but they also play Richmond who are looking woeful at this stage.

Edit - I hate to say it, but I'm not sure if I begrudge any team a win after 13 weeks. At least it wasn't against us. Hopefully we can rise to the occasion today and put the pressure right back on the Bombers. The Hawks did it to us last year afterall. We were 15th for about 18 hours at one point towards the end of last season.

We dont need supporters like you!

Hi SHHH

Mate I am not an idiot and have been a paying member of the Blues ever since our world starting coming down on us.

If we had not won a spoon before then I would not want to finish last, however we have and so a couple more are not going to matter that much

Last nights win puts us in a stronger position in the draft and pre season draft so that can not be a bad thing. No matter if the first few are supposed to be of similar quality it still is good to be in a position where we can take first pick in the draft and especially the pre season draft ( we can now be in the position where we are in go to an uncontracted player throw a few dollars their way, tell them to nominate for the pre season draft and bang another quality player is added to the list without having to worry about other clubs)

The bottom line is we have by far the worst list in the league and due to the system the AFL has in place I would prefer to finish last and have a crack at talent that is not only going to get us into the finals but give us a shot a a title in the years to come.

To those who disagree with me I value your opinion and can understand your pain and frustration, as I do love the passion on this forum however I am going to have to disagree with you on this one due to the fact I want to be in St Kildas position where they have a shot at the title due to being able to reap the rewards of being in strong positions as far as the draft goes.

I would hate to be in North Melbs position, who whilst I admire thier spirit I don't really think they will be in a position where they will make a Grand Final let alone win a premiership

To me its all about short and medium term agony, and this to me is agany, for long term premierships I want to be able to crush sides again steamrolling our way to our next cup ..... I do not not just want to be a good honest battling side that is competitive week to week

If I could see another way out I would gladly take it , however I am unable to

For f*ck's sake, people!

Pick one or pick 2, does it really make a difference?

Agree.

In such a strong draft, would rather not have the embarrassment of finishing last again, and still get someone really good at pick 2.

the thing is,

the difference between draft picks one and seventeen, as well as two and eighteen,

is not the difference between a premiership in the future or not,

what it is, is a bunch of young guys trying to their hearts out and getting nothing but the games worse honour, for the third time in four years, it's destructive, and like sticks says, unpalatable.

I don't think there's much difference between pics 1 & 2. For some reason 17 & 19 feels like a much stronger hand than 18 & 20 though.

The Priority pick is vital.. but i dont want pick one.. i want Hansen and dont want to make a call on Gibbs.

Are you guys listening to yourselves? Stop thinking about the future and think about now. Think about when we win today how loud we are going to be singing that song.

If you are going to talk about PPs and draft picks, don't call yourself a supporter. I'm sick of hearing about tanking and PPs. I want to hear about winning and winning only. You all sound like kids talking about losing.

Doesn't it hurt you when we lose? Even a little bit? If not, then why do you call yourself a supporter? Grow up and either want them to win or go barrack for someone else.

as supporters, it is our job to support our team that's why we're called supporters in the first place. we have to barrack for our team as hard as we can and at the end of the year if we havent gone well, we get rewarded for all the pain we've felt during the year with draft picks. draft picks should just be looked upon as presents for pain not as reward for enjoyment of losses.
