And Lyon adding in a dominant forward in Pavlich has added to their gameplan as well. They dismantled Geelong last night defensively & that's the 2 major areas we'll need to improve which I'm sure MM will be addressing as well.

Mick will instill systems and structures which were almost non-existant under Ratten. Plan A under Ratts was dismantled and that was that. He won't put up with one-way runners and Gibbs wil get the rocket he deserves. It's amazing what a difference a good coach makes e.g. Lyon, Clarkson, Sanderson etc.
Mick will take us where Ratts was unable to.

Are some people being negative towards MM because they are afraid to get their hopes up?

I think it's the best fit for us now, assuming he has the passion and drive still, which I believe he does.

Funnily enough Ratts reminded me a lot of Harvey as a coach. Whoohoo we are no longer the new Geelong, we are the new Freo!

2 winning finals in 5 years. We wish!

In fairness to Synbad, he was spruiking Fremantle as a team who would overtake us during 2012.

Move over Blueman...

Was always going to take them 12 weeks to adjust.... but he was always going to galvanise that team.

we have been flakey and havent improved in that area.. yet.. we thought we will win a flag...

MM not coaching at the moment
Wiley not coaching
Jackovic not coaching

This could be a disaster

SNF have a comical record on these things....but it appears so.

I really hope Cameron Ling is coming.

Malthouse appears to be surrounding himself with 'yes men'

Ling doesn't strike me as a yes man.

He seems to be surrounding himself we people who are not coaches

this will all end in tears but it will take about 3 years for it to pan out

One of the disagreements was Alan Richardson wanting MM to play Heath Shaw relatively early in his development.....MM doubted Shaw would be able to step in and play to the required level.

I am genuinely concerned with what appears to be happening with the apparent appointments. It's like mick and his mates. From WCE. From the 90's.

Really?

Unless a Burns or another legitimate heir apparent forms part of the team, I fear for our future.
