Menzel and Yarran are both contracted, they want out, we play hard ball, only first round picks....
We must finish last to get weitering, plays like Talia, CHB for the next 10 plus years.
Having picks 1, 10, 16 and 20, say, if all those players above leave, don't care if people believe it's a weak draft, we can still pick up good kids with these picks.
Add Weitering, key forward, Rice and another mid, add Aish, reckon were heading in the right direction.
As long as we don't roll over and cop it in the ginger!!!

Rice, Bradley and Silvagni as FS as well?

In:
Pick 1 - Weitering,
Pick 10 (hendo Pick), Another KPP
Pick 13 (Yarren Pick) Another Midfielder
Pick 19 (our 2nd rounder) Another Midfielder
+ Rice, Silvagni & Bradley via FS
Aish (for Bell and our 3rd rounder)

Out
Henderson
Yarren
Bell
3rd Pick

Id say that is the start of a very serious rebuild!! I'd like to keep Menzel unless its something we cant say no to.

Bit of a flaw in your scenario. Unlikely that we could use picks 1, 10, 13 and 19 as well as draft 3 father sons on top. We would have to use 3 picks to get them and other teams may bid to force us to use say picks 10, 13 and 19 (if we had them.)

If other clubs want them they can have them if they're prepared to pay that price!

Knowing the sheer corruption of the AFL they may end up with both anyway.

Another injury prone ruck?

I would take the risk, high reward if it comes off. The only downside I see is the $$$ attached to the risk.

If clubs bid first rounder for SOSOS and SoD then good luck to them. If they don't, we will have enough points to cover them.

Rumors are really flying around today.

Henderson to Geelong for Pick 10
Yarran to Richmond for Pick 12
Bell & Pick 38 to Brisbane for Aish
Menzel to Adelaide for Pick 24 and young player

If correct, that is definitley a rebuild.

Young Adelaide player? We always get linked to Lyons and Kerridge, so wouldn't be surprised if their names appear again.

Mitch Grigg might be a chance. Rumour he and Campo don't see eye to eye.

Let's just say I wouldn't be unhappy if they happened.

I'd add a few more as well

Bell being offered big money by Bris & gc. Club may have to increase his current deal (as he is contracted) to keep him.

Yep let's trade anyone with at least 1 goal in the last 24 months. I know Sos was a defender...but this is a little extreme.

Bell being offered big money elsewhere is good news, means they can't justify low-balling us in any trade.

Agreed. You'd rather trade him this year whilst contracted simply to maximise return but it is another goal kicker to add to the pile of trades.

If it's true that they're offering big money then good luck to Tom.

It's not easy to succeed in the rookie system, and he deserves it.

A second rounder is fair (whether their current pick, or a future pick), given that Bell would be in our top 5 for the B&F.

A lot of these guys are our leaders goalkickers mainly based simply on the fact they play forward of centre more than other players in the side.....It therefore doesn't make them great forwards or the nucleas of a Premiership forward line.

Liam Jones has kicked 19 goals in 19 games over the last 24 months. On your theory you'd be against trading him....

Ouch, the beast on an equal footing with Hendo as a forward

The mere idea that you're equating a goal a game as good football for a forward under any circumstances demonstrates what's wrong with your analysis here.

Keep Bell, forget about Aish unless we have a pick in the range of 30-35 and he promises to learn how to kick a football.

Go for Stefan martin. Wants to come back to melbs. GF wants to move to Melb so it will happen.

Stef, Aish, Carlisle, 3 picks in top 15 and l wouldn't be disappointed.

Honestly, Henderson is only a big loss, as we don't have any talls. If we had some quality talls, he wouldn't be as important. When l saw Hendo and Nathan Brown sprinting to the ball a couple wks ago, he couldn't gain a cm on Nathan Brown in front of him. l really think he is injured or not up to it as a KPP. All season, he hasn't been able to get 1m in front of his opponent. If he isn't injured, then he isn't a big loss based on this years form, as we are not challenging for a flag anytime soon. Still think he is 1st round value though.

Ready made backman that can slot in as the 2nd or 3rd tall and compete at a high level with years to play is 1st round value. Takes years for KPP to develop. Carlton need to take nothing less than a 1st rounder. Let him walk to free agency and we pick him up again :P
