I tell you what.. Roose as coach and Ramsey as an assistant wouldn't be the worse thing for our club. As horrible as they, they get the job done.

As a coach, Roose wouldn't need to give a spray. He would just need to look at you like this to get the best out of you...

Ramsay would make a hell of a high performance manager though!

Can you imagine at the end of the season having a meeting with Roose? 'The Reigns of Castimere' start playing and that is when you realise you are about to be delisted.

It's behind a paywall, but the link allowed to view once before self destructing.....

Easy to get around for any News Corp article.

Go to google and type the heading of the article "Bolton To Win Race For Blues Job".

Click on the search result...

Trigg and Denham are close friends

Brendon Bolton to be named new Carlton coach
THE AUSTRALIAN AUGUST 19, 2015 12:00AM
Greg Denham

Carlton will choose Brendon Bolton ahead of interim coach John Barker as the club’s new senior coach, with an announcement expected next week.

Blues chief executive Steven Trigg yesterday told The Australian a board meeting had not been scheduled to ratify the subcommittee’s recommendation. But directors have been put on standby to meet before the end of the month, when they will present a case for Hawthorn assistant Bolton as the preferred candidate.

It is understood that the Blues are holding off making their announcement out of respect for Barker, who has held the caretaker reins since the sacking of Mick Malthouse.

Good luck Bolton, you'll need it. Let's hope this is rock bottom. I fear it isn't.

Me too.

There is nothing else you can do besides keep trying to get it right. Fingers crossed this time it works for us.

Trigg was just saying that Barker is in a good position because he actually has the job at the moment and can prove himself. The article took it out of context and stated he was the favourite.

Carlton doesn't have that talent and we blew every draft pick last yr. Jaksch wouldnt even go 4th round. Whiley would be lucky to be drafted. Liam Jones wouldnt get picked up in the draft and boakhorst would be lucky to be picked in 5th round. Terrible.

Its amazing.
I enjoyed reading your posts previously but recently its like your account has been hacked. Your recent contributions have been absolute crap and this is another example.

Sorry mate, dropped the ball.

It's not as though Carlton doesn't have talent, but we have lost a lot of talent and set to lose yarran and hendo as well. We haven't brought in too much quality under the malthouse period. It can turn around quickly with a good coach, good draft picks and a couple quality free agents. If you could some how pull Danger, Treloar and Carlisle in free agency, we are a different story.

Jordan Lewis talks Bolton up as good as Clarko, so hopefully we are in for a good year.

Essendon* was rock-bottom when Hirdy got there. Hirdy told us so.

I don't think it was just these past few weeks where Barker was said to be auditioning - but the previous 3 years - that probably counted against him.

i think of blueman's posts often. i was a fan.

not sure why he stopped posting, he did used to cop a lot of ridicule so i hope it wasn't for that.

it's a shame whenever any long time poster leaves these parts.
