Smart fella Synbad. Studied Classical Civilisation at Monash. Let me tell you, Ancient Greek is not a simple language.
Hard for some of you to believe, he excelled at "Logic". Impressive.

Good footballer too. Played out at Prahran back in the day.

I can't believe he's still banned. FMD, do we need a Royal Commission to over turn that.

Just to follow up bondi...

Synners says it's now ten years since he was last here (I checked and it's eight which even still surprises me that it's that long) and he's moved on and TC is in the past for him.

Not coming back.

Which I think is fair to say is a blessing and a curse...

 I think he said what he wanted to say and got the word out. His primary focus was to spruik for a new challenger to the Board. There was an agenda. The club was at its knees, and we knew it. The Board lacked quality, and as it turned out he was right. The club was run by the smell of an oily rag. There was no money. Cazz alluded to the funds available for the recruiting dept. Scarce. They did their best with skeleton staff. Cazz must have been skinny back then. We were a basket case.

I'm sure Synbad would be much happier with the state of the club today, on and off the field. A real Carlton man.

Good luck to him.

Got another message from Synners at 5:30am.

Said he wouldn’t be getting too excited considering there’s only a couple of wins between 2nd and 10th but he doesn’t really follow the football much anymore.

sounds like the big fella's juices are starting to flow. curiosities are peaking. his skin is starting to itch.

... he'll be back here by round 21 when we play the pies.

Don't know why this has slipped under the media radar for so long (it certainly didn't get picked up by the commentators at the time).

Straight after Russell got smashed, he kicked the ball the wrong way from the centre bounce, which did get commented on but the connection wasn't made. Today's concussion aware media would have been all over it, although nowadays he would have already been taken off the ground after the knock and failed a concussion test.

Que sera. We should never have been so ineffective to that point anyway, but the whole Harmes move is a tad overrated.
