For me it's this team:
Newman Weitering Kemp
Cincotta McGovern Saad
Acres Cripps Docherty
Owies McKay Cuningham
TdK Curnow Martin
Pittonet Cerra Walsh
Hewett Motlop Dow Fisher
Kennedy
Emerg/Depth: Marchbank, Hollands, Cottrell, Fogarty, Boyd, ECurnow, CDurdin
Really want to include Marchbank but feel against Swans we might be too tall. Would have March instead of Cincotta.
Some really unlucky players missing out, but we need Kennedy to get a run as a sub. Hollands very unlucky.
Next in JSoS.
Can't wait for Friday week. Go baggers - it's time.
I’d swap Dow and Fisher for Cottrel and Boyd. I’d also like to fit Fogarty in but can’t find the room.
Ideally Dow would be sub but Kennedy needs some game time.
After going through everything and reading stats, I would go with
B: Docherty Weitering Kemp
HB: Newman McGovern Saad
C: Acres Cripps Walsh
HF: Cottrell McKay Owies
F: Martin Motlop Motlop
Foll: TDK Hewett Cerra
Int: Dow Fogarty Boyd Hollands (Cuningham/Kennedy)
Docherty back to defence as we have midfield depth. Boyd in to shutdown Papley
The run of Walsh Hollands Acres is vital. They cover so much ground. Walsh on a wing to just run. Let Cripps Hewett Cerra Dow Fogarty do the hard inside stuff
Cottrell to lockdown on Campbell
Fogarty is a tough defensive forward but also a good clearance midfielder
Either Cuningham or Kennedy as sub. Cuningham could really break the game open with his pace and run later in game
Looked at the 2 rucks. Not easy. When I do we seem to be top heavy. However, at the MCG might be an advantage? To add Pittonet, Dow or Hollands goes out.
A longshot may be to play Young or Durdin who have both played fwd/ruck in their careers. Although unlikely
Silvagni being fit would be a massive advantage
Most sides are similar to mine. It's about balance and playing to our strengths. Contested ball needs numbers, especially in a final
