Yep. I'll be surprised if Marchbank doesn't come into the 22.

Yep. I'll be surprised if Marchbank doesn't come into the 22. We'll miss McGoverns kicking. He's a beautiful user of the ball.

There is a new Slogan floating around that says " Stop Alir Alir, you Stop Port ".

In a way, its so true.. he has been one heck of a rebounding defender. He marks everything and stops everything. Curnow will have a tough day tomorrow.... needs lots of support.

Is that a McGovern 50/50 -or a regular person 50/50.

If McGovern 50/50 he may get up in time for the start of 2024 pre-season

I have never been a Douche (don't want to draw attention to Douche) fan, but crikey he has truly lost me with his comment that Carlton have no excuses to not win this game.

Surely, as a person who played the game, he knows that football teams are constantly in a state of evolution.
Ok, sure, when a team is top of the ladder and winning flags left right and centre, maybe there they don't evovle much from week to week, or throughout a season.
And similarly when a team is on the bottom and sucking the big one big time, and has little to no hope, and their list is stuffed, maybe during these times teams don't evolve much.
But 95% of the time, teams in between on the ladder, will be evolving. Evolving the game plan, players going through their own journeys, etc. Teams are constantly evolving, for good or bad.
Just look at the Blues and our form since the start of 2022.
We have only just started to look good, hopefully we are at the start of a serious upward swing.
But nobody knows how it will pan out.
Which common sense says short term there is no guarantee how we will perform this weekend.
Maybe we should ask ChatGPT if we will win this weekend?
We are evolving, and it is stupid to put an absolute benchmark on the short term performance of the team. Effort maybe is something that can come with expectations. But the game of AFL rides on 1000s of acts, and the bounce of the ball, and injury.

And here we have it...

Me: will carlton beat port adelaide this weekend?

ChatGPT : As an AI language model, I don't have access to real-time information or the ability to predict future events such as sports outcomes. My knowledge is based on information available up until September 2021. Therefore, I cannot provide you with the result of a specific sporting event that will occur in the future, such as the Carlton vs. Port Adelaide match this weekend. To find out the outcome, I would recommend checking sports news or reliable sources for the latest information on the match.

Douche, if AI can't tell us for sure if Carlton will beat Port, then I think it is fair to say it is debatable whether Carlton will win, and in turn suggesting Carlton have no excuse and must win is laughable.

Just think about it ... there are NO excuses for the 12th ranked team to not beat the 2nd ranked team (who have won 13 straight)

I didn't realise the Comedy Festival was on

$4.50 vs $51 premiership odds.

Yeah we have no excuses.

If we don't win I'm done with this club, that's it, I cannot live with the shame of being Port's 14th successive victim.

I don’t know why we even bother discussing Cornes. It’s been clear since day one that he’s a shock jock. He says things to get attention, and look at us all giving him attention

Reminds me of when James Hird (I think?) wrote an article rating Carlton the best midfield in the comp just before we played them.
Obviously, we bought the hype and duly lost.

No offence but that's the clunkiest slogan eva. How about stop alir, get on the beer?

Stop the hawk, we are in for a gawk?

Stop sudan. We are the man?

Can't stop alir? It's jail time.
