It's been a while since I've seen this much enthusiasm about the Blues from HS journos.
Probably since the Beast was there!

Go you good things

They won’t make the 8 this season but the club I’M MOST BUOYANT ABOUT is Carlton.

A nice balance of talls forward and back, Kreuz is finally playing great footy, the coaching is impeccable. Good foundations.

MY FAVOURITE MOMENT of the season so far was Daisy’s baulk and banana to rain on Collingwood’s 125th anniversary parade.

The addition of Hooper and Kelly to midfield and either one of Lever or Schache would just about make it a perfect trade period. ( I'd prefer Schache) and
I’m hoping we draft Darcy Fogarty with our Ist rounder.
If it all were to come to fruition in 2019/20 watch out, Baggers become a serious proposition.

How do we get hooper, Kelly and schache or lever in the same trade period, plus keep our first round draft pick?

You'd need 4 first round picks to get those trades done.

There is always the Henderson pick.

He looks like he is going to be a ripper.
Any time I watch Tuohy, I have to remind myself that to get something good we had to give up something good.

With SOS at the helm (much more than our previous recruiters) looking at any one move (e.g. Tuohey for Marchbank) is only part of the picture. Gotta look at the end result for players/depth in a particular area. We let Tuohy go, got Marchbank, Williamson and Macreadie. We robbed city hall.

Correct.

Trade period isn't a single in trade in isolation. Its the total in vs out. The last two years have shown that although we get less than full value in a particular trade (Menzel, Tuohy) we improve the overall position of the list.
