"Carlton's tackling has been exceptional" - Jason Dunstall. Well done, lads. Really buried some tackles too.

"Why did the umpire call for a ball-up instead of just calling play-on after Brad Ebert's pass to Sam Colquhoun was ruled touched near goal?"

Why? Because it's the rules you @#$%&! cretin.

I don't think he even acknowledged he was wrong when assumedly many people would've pointed this out. Just let it hang there like the bad ignorant fart that it was. Probably hundreds of morons agreeing with him on it too. Because unfortunately that's the power that that undeserved little blue tick next to his name has.

A win is a win is a win. It felt so good.

I have just started mentoring a 10 year old kid whose dad has suffered from a stroke that will see him incapacitated for the rest of his life. We go out every Saturday afternoon and do a fun activity. He follows Carlton and looking at the schedule a month a go I saw the Adelaide and Port Adelaide games as options. I thought the Port Adelaide game might be the better one as we would be coming off the bye giving time for the players to refresh and the coaching staff to get their plans in order. On the way to the game I asked him whether he gets to many matches a year. He said that he gets to a couple a year. He said he would like to go to more, but that every time he goes Carlton loses. I said do you mean that you have never seen a Carlton win live and he said no. How good it was at the end to see his smile. I think I was smiling just as much. It was a very enjoyable game.

Cripps was awesome today as were the rest of the players. The chases and tackles were enormous. Credit goes to John Barker. We now have a completely different side. And to think that some commentators believed that Malthouse deserved an extension to rebuild our club. I shudder at the thought.

Sports writers are not 'journos' let's not confuse the two.

Its like me calling myself a golfer. Sure, I walk around the course and hit the ball into the hole with sticks, but when I'm out there im not playing golf

Fair enough. I agree with that.

But we can agree that RC is a knob though??? No argument there?

agreed

How do we feel about Yarran's game?

Got that lucky HTB decision/chasedown, otherwise, thought he was pretty poor.

Suffered from the old, 'take Yarran back to the square where he can't do anything'. The commentators were asking why Krakoeur was at FF. The answer is simple. Yarran's man goes to FF.
Yarran's best weapon is his capacity to run but he dare not run off his man if he is left sitting two metres out from the goal line. Opposition coaches have done it against us for years. The simple answer is to play him as a winger or HFF. We have others who can run of the HB line, like Buckley, Simmo, Touhy and even Walker.
The complicated answer involves multiple switching of opponents but the simple answer to a simple problem is usually the best imho.

My just turned 10yo begged me to take her to the footy today since her netball team had the bye... I'm so glad I gave in to her (again).
At the end of the game she said I knew we would win today daddy, we sang the song and dance around like crazy. We got our jam donuts for the walk back to the car with big smiles on our faces..

Boys were good today, great effort all over the park.

Now THAT is a day at the footy for a parent.

Great game to watch. Hugs all round with my boy who saw his first win for circa 2 years.

GOod all round effort and clear care factor through each line.

Some great consistent signs of AFL quality from Bell, Docherty and a range of others. Graham's tackling and nice goals were a joy to watch.

Cripps is one tall kid talking to Mooney post match. 9 scoring involvements. He knows where to find the ball forward of centre.

Seriously?

I haven't read the replies, but surely plenty have picked him up on this one.

Was the perfect tackle by Menzel. Pinged one arm. 100% a throw.

Such a dumb statement from Rohan. What is he trying to imply? That Boak disguised his throw well enough? That we should let people getting away with throwing it?

A throw is a throw. It doesn't matter what the circumstances are. You simply are not allowed to throw the ball.

The man is an idiot. Pains me that he's probably paid well to dribble shit from his mouth.

ooh, ooh, I'll have a go.
let's see, umm....

"hey, my team are a pack of cheats and ruined. I hate your lot and I'm taking you down with us. "

howzat?

How about we go through the process correctly this time.

What we do know is that decision to remove Mick was 100% correct. Tick for Stephen Trigg

Good morning to all the Grahan nuffties too
