So they've opted for White to drop into defence when Rowe goes into the ruck? Interesting choice.

Would have preferred Watson's kicking at CHF but at least we're not putting up with Levi's form.

Who is missing from our best 22?

Just Kreuzer and Walker?
Warnock I don't consider any longer...

Kreuzer and Walker, but plenty of talent to supplement these names.

Good luck to Smith, who will likely start as the sub unless Gibbs' fitness levels are poor.

Would've liked to have seen Boekhorst get a gig. I understand he didn't set the world on fire in the NAB games, but we've lacked outside run for years and this team does nothing to address that. On the MCG I think the game would open up for Boekhorst.

Who'll be the sub is also an interesting choice, particularly if it's to come from the listed bench.

Lastly, Ellard as an emergency.. He really is a favorite of Mick's.

I would imagine the team will be thrown around from the presented structure - otherwise not much run of the back line...

There's a video on the club site which has the line up as Yarran in defence and White on the bench.

Yarran named forward... I would like to see him start there for at least the 1st quarter.

Richmond still have problems with their small defenders......saw them train a few times over the pre-season and they love to have a spare small with little focus on defense.

hope yarran and menzel can kick about 3-4 between them early to get a jump.

Only concern is taking Rowey out of defence to be back up ruck but I guess he can do it when Griffiths goes in ruck.

Looks like we've gone for run. Especially as it's meant to rain tomorrow. So don't want too many talks on wet deck.

Are Griffiths and Riewoldt their only tall forwards? It looks like Jaksch might go to a small to start with, which gives us a bit of flexibility in terms of arose going into the ruck.

Maybe I'm biased and they would probably say the same thing about us but does Richmond's team look really average to anyone else?

Riewoldt and Martin are obvious dangers but apart from that it just looks like an ordinary side for mine.

I think Rowe will find himself in the forwardline a bit.

His confidence would be far better than the last time he played there and if he takes a few marks he'a very good kick for goal.

I actually like the team. I don't think Casboult has warranted a selection.

Clem smith surely the sub? can't see how he would possibly be fit enough to run out a whole game.

Their midfield is quality and their defensive talls are also good. Riewoldt is an elite forward but not an elite athlete, while their running defenders do provide plenty of rebound, but can be hurt the other way.

You don't take them lightly, but they have weaknesses that can be exploited.

Just not comfortable with the ruck situation. Don't like the idea of Rowe rucking. We need a settled backline. There are no other options in the team really.

Would they throw Jones into the ruck for a few contests?
