It's basically just one of 18 subcommittees of the AFL anyway...

hes a mathieson...

he is the face of the club.... if he doesnt make it work he will be taken out the back and a hole will be put in his temple (that will signal change again)... ofcourse nobody will be fingerpointing the mathiesons...

if he does ok.. and things look like theyre ok... craig mathieson will step up...nd cover himself in glory...

the club is read for whatever happens

marc is just a face in a wide suit... nothing more .. nothing less...it may have been trainor .. but it wasnt...,
so ryan cracked the shitties....he expected it to be put to a vote an was told so...
there was no vote .... the powers that be elected mark...

so ryan took his bat and ball then went home....

that however changed the numbers...and mark was feeling a little vulnerable in his new skin as president.
with nobody knowing who he is... and the threats from the pratts rumbling... he had a plan.... go to poach hawthorns list manager... and stamp himself on the board (mostly the pratts ) and the carlton public...
.. we all know how this played out.... lol

thats who mark is.....

oh and by the way... the sneaky mark constitution vote went ... im trying to remember exactly....
460 odd votes to less than 70....from what i hear....

thats how to get votes through

sneak it in to a question... get the club blocs to vote and leave the rest of the club clueless about what just occurred
..

Bump, we're back at this again - endlessly - so here's some points.

The constitution of the club clearly states:

Current Club Constitutions

So what does all of that mean?

Well it's pretty simple:

1. At some point, everyone on the board, and anyone who wishes to join the board, at any time, must go through the INC, unless the Ordinary Members (anyone who owns a membership) vote for them to avoid automatic retirement, the exception being the CEO

2. The INC is constitutionally bound to have two members who have no vested interests in the existing board or the club, at least from a financial perspective

3. No one can @#$%&! around with the INC; if you don't comply with the process you're automatically rejected, but this merely involves checking some boxes and possibly attending an interview within a 14-day timeframe once requested

4. There is some hoop jumping in terms of eligibility criteria, but the current criteria is clearly stated and reasonable, and any additions are determined by the INC for board approval, i.e. only the INC can make suggestions without raising it at as a motion at an AGM

5. You can still stand for election without INC approval or board endorsement, but you need to follow the other components of the INC process first

6. You can still be appointed to a casual vacancy without INC approval, but you still need to follow the other components of the INC process first

There is wiggle room here to create silly criteria, but it comes across as above board.

I'd also like to note that the "legally enforceable" component I've highlighted regarding committees does not impact the INC beyond the Director Eligibility Criteria, which is then still subject to board approval both in ratifying it and enforcing it.

If you'd like to compare this to the old constitution, here is the constitution as of the end of 2012:

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/staticfile/ ... 5-0001.pdf

And here is the only amendment that was made prior to last year's AGM.

http://www.carltonfc.com.au/news/2013-1 ... -their-say

Quote:
The Carlton Football Club has proposed a Special Resolution to change Clause 3.3 of the Club’s constitution, which would see Country and Interstate members given the right to vote on Club matters.

I'd now like to take a moment to say that I'm not going to discuss the INC any further because all the information is here, in plain enough English to be interpreted and I'm also really tired of how it's being used to pump the tyres of the conspiracy bandwagon.

I welcome everyone else to discuss it, but highly recommend reading the constitutional elements first.

Conspiracy theories as against what? Coincidence theorists?
Where oligarchs build moats around the citadel to keep attacking savages out?
Now that's a coincidence...!
I'll write soon how this all works...

Oh Jim... By the way it's always more likely that a couple or more people get together to stack things up to their benefit than the unlikelihood of coincidence..
But like I said I'll explain further later...
