Get Robbie Williams to wear a Carlton jumper and sing this song before the Carlton vs Richmond (assuming it is our home game)game at the MCG:

IT WOULD BLOW lions and never tear us apart out of the park.

All Carlton supporters stand up, hold your scarves high in the air and sing with Robbie. Each game we then get a celebrity singer to come in and sing it. Or we just get Robbie in each home game - send Robbie in.

Membership increase, massive publicity, crowd involvement. Tick tick tick!!!

is that the Elton John song?

No Robbie Williams

I agree, no Robbie Williams.
Especially when it sounds like Elton John.

Love the Uni of Wisconsin "Jump Around" tradition, but as has been said this only works because it's a partisan crowd.
Same goes for Port - 90% plus of the stadium would be their own fans. Even if we picked the best song in the world, it'd go down like a sack of shit when we're outnumbered 3 to 1 in the stands against Hawthorn, Essendon**, Collingwood and nobody plays along. Could get embarrassing.

Big Balls by AC/DC.

Catchy singalong chorus and works on so many levels...

Speaks to Carlton's Italian heritage, and who doesn't like singing along to this Joe Dolce classic?

Coming up with one for Essendon** is pretty easy:

The Needle and the Damage Done - Neil Young

this is the song to play whenever we face the bummers.
the words are just tooo perfect!!

You keep saying, you got something for me
Something you call love but confess
You've been messin' where you shouldn't have been messin'
And now someone else is getting all your best
These boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you

Yeah, you keep lyin' when you oughta be truthin'
And you keep losing when you oughta not bet
You keep samin' when you oughta be a changin'
Now, what's right is right but you ain't been right yet

These boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you

You keep playin' where you shouldn't be playin'
And you keep thinkin' that you'll never get burnt

Ah, I've just found me a brand new box of matches, yeah
And what he knows you ain't had time to learn

These boots are made for walking
And that's just what they'll do
One of these days these boots
Are gonna walk all over you

Are you ready, boots?
Start walking

did someone try and tear port apart at some stage?

whats the relevance?

Part of the us v them mentality, builds on the historical Pt Adelaide v the rest of the SANFL battle and tries to link their struggle for survival (and identity) to a battle against the evil overlords of the Adelaide Crows. It's an Adelaide (city that is) thing and it works well for Port. 50,000 of them singing it in unison is impressive. Unfortunately they were at their most vocal in round 22. A few of us were quiet in the stands that night.

Not sure how it would go down in Melbourne, but would need to work with visuals of classic Carlton moments.

Working Class Man - Jimmy Barnes;
We Will Rock You - Queen;
In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins ?

I'm sticking with no song because the suggestions on here are shit.

The risks of getting lumbered with an embarrassing song are just too high.

Unless it's Nancy Sinatra, I can live with that.
