If Carlton that played Pies, Hawks, Cats turns up, easy win.

Otherwise.....

What can VFL watchers tell us about Holman?

He fits our midfield mould beautifully. One speed, can't find the ball and can't stick a tackle to save his life.

He does have a roaring left foot though.

Not sure what games you're watching.

sorry Goltz this time not exactly the road he will take or has taken the last few weeks

he will play the kids and has tried to be more competitive as the results have shown, we have used the corridor or the flanks more than just the boundaries in recent times

we are out of contention and will need to show improvement from now on in (hence the discipline and challenging players) and a marked improvement from now continuing next year will give a false sense of improvement and will enhance his contractual situation

this way he gets maybe another 3-4 years and an over inflated ego

Ok Redback, how many wins do you think Carlton will have for the rest of the season?

its not about win/loss woof

its about the process

There is always a conspiracy theory even when posters have spent the last month calling for youth

Is as brave as Robbo too, takes the hits when he has too. More disciplined than Robbo, too.

Lenny Hayes has withdrawn from St Kilda squad for Sunday's match v Carlton & replaced by Sam Dunell in the 25. Final 22 set this afternoon.

Yeah, I've never seen him play a single minute. At this point I can only assume what I'm about to see.

FWIW Braithy I think your fairly close in your assessment. Doesn't mean he can't improve and be a very good player.

Carlton has finalised its side for Sunday’s match against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium.

The Blues have made two changes, bringing in Simon White and Tom Bell.

Mitch Robinson is out suspended while Dennis Armfield has been omitted.

Armfield, along with Nick Graham and Nick Holman, have been named as the emergencies.

It means Holman is unlikely to make his debut this week, but last week’s new inclusion Blaine Johnson looks set to run out for his second AFL game.

The match kicks off at Etihad Stadium on Sunday at 1.10pm AEST.

Good to see Johnson stays in, hopefully we get to see him for a full game. Also glad that Bell is back in the side, before he got injured I thought he was showing some good form.

SO much for blooding new players - no Holman no Graham (Mick must hate him). Instead the guys who have proudly led us to 5 losses in a row and have us a game off the bottom are rewarded with games. What do you have to do to get dropped from this team?
