..hendo not 100%, but the fact we have some forward structure is all down to him and the way he moves, make no mistake..

Hendo presented well but our delivery to him was a shambles, especially in the 1st half. I don't believe he was as bad as some are saying.
I think the combination of Casboult, Henderson & Waite is certaintly working well.

That's my belief as well. I would hate to be a modern day key forward the way the opposition drops numbers back and slows the entry. When the ball gets in quick he does well. The balance is pretty good. The option may be for him to go back for a while but I wouldn't change Rowe, White & Jamison either.

Part of the plan may have been for Henderson to lead up to the wings to drag Talia away from full back and expose Brodie Smith on Menzel and Hartigan on Waite closer to goal

Thought his running patterns were all over the shop yesterday. I put it down to him taking Talia away from the play to allow Waite and Menzal a good run at it because Henda is my hero.

We still didn't get enough bang for our buck though. Our forward structure was not that good. We outplayed them so convincingly at times that it was a pretty disappointing that our system was so inefficient when it came to adding to our score.

We have so many players in form that it is disappointing that we are not getting convincing wins.

That's how I saw it.

Plus I reckon we've hit about 10 leading forward targets on the chest all year and 5 of them were to Menzel yesterday.

Don't bother. Have you not read this thread? We are rubbish. We didn't deserve to win and have no good players. mM is rubbish. Daisy is rubbish. Hendo, despite no pre season, is hopeless. The recruiting success with Menzel, Buckley etc was pure fluke. Docherty landed in our laps. We should just hand the keys back. Not on your life should a supporter just enjoy the win.

bunch of negative nellies!
ps. we won peeps!!!

We won and kids and new recruits played well good. But once again i thought like the wce game we are lucky .How many times did we kick to adl players and one other thing that bothers me is that our players dont lead towards the ball carrier.Always a contest or play from behind or that miracle pass .We are not fit enough have we got any contacts at port.

Funny thing is, if that fool from Adelaide had held the mark on the siren and subsequently slotted a goal the tone of the reflections would be completely different.

Nice to be winning a few without Judd on the park.

Agree bluegirl a win to be celebrated even if it was an ugly win - happy to win ugly better than losing - went in as underdog and got over the line - people seem to have to mention injuries to adelaide and hawthorn ad nauseum but forget we have a few ourselves

thats what happens if u havent had a preseason (hendo - tuohy walker etc)
daisy has copped alot from some of you guys... i suspect its driven by your blind hatred for malthouse... and that he is ex collingwood.nthat nobody else would want him only his 'dad'... absolutely pathetic and laughable...
not many of you thought about the state of our list...

as for the win .... it was a win we would have lost 2 years ago...
and teams win ugly.... but we cant afford to drop it

as for the coachess votes... bryce is top 3... gets alot of criticism from people like keogh... though hes been one of our most consistant performers over the last 7 years...
simmo and scotto probably the only two more consistent
the problem is frustration..... the truth is its not bryce thats letting us down... its the other early picks and second third rounders we have no yield from....
he would be a better player if there were more good players in the side sharing the load

How many times did Adelaide kick to Carlton players? It was a contest between two defensive sides early on.

It was very much a man on man game though. Pretty much every kick for both sides was to a contest. If your foot skills aren't the best that sort of game is going to create a bucket of turnovers.

^^this

No doubt Hendo didn't have the best day at the office, but Menzel seems to be in some form at the present, and of coarse your going to exploit that luxury for all its worth. Waite is a mixed bag and you never know what your going to get. If Hendo is a bit off touch it makes perfect sense you'd want your in form & freak, for want of a better word, in Menzel and Waite within range, with the option of using hendo further up the park and dragging Talia with him.

It's just that he didn't tonight

Lots of unfair criticism of a murph IMO. Did you guys actually go to the game? How many times was Murph on the bottom of the pack trying to get the ball. You don't/can't tackle from that position. He got a few frees because he was in that position as well.

Jeez, open your eyes

Dangerfields brain explosion play on snap for a point was a big moment too.

Liked the jumper. Should keep that for the odd game as well.
