Everyone else go at the right price.

Need to have 4 selections in the top 30 in the upcoming draft.

Look towards GWS & Giants for KPP not getting what they're worth. Might need to pay overs to get a young kid to a team rebuilding but if the kid is 24 or under and has potential a risk needs to be taken.

Seems we've signed Walks, Murph, etc. they can leave for no return.

I see where you're coming from Hibbo but I think we have too many contracts in place.
Can make some room in cap by letting FAs go...but most of the crap are locked in, some with " Rolls Royce" contracts...as Mathieson would say.

We are stuck in shit and stuck with this shit.

We will be fighting out spoon with Brisbane...there's pick 1 or 2 for a start.

If a club agrees to take over a contract it's free game isn't it. I can see a GWS/Suns or team looking to push for premiership contention would take over some of our current contracts. A few of those top teams have cap space like Freo & Hawks which is pretty bad when you think we have bugger all and we're nowhere near them list wise

Unless there's changes in recruiting/list management area, I have no faith in any decisions they make. We are ruined because of our pathetic list management over the last 10 years.

Waite, Scoltland and Judd pending physical condition should be retired, let Gibbs go and trade a few Garlett even Kruooz if need be, very painful but neccessary.
Start the re structure in earnest in 2014 , Carazzo and others go next year.
It will be a very long haul , but there's no other way

Well he looks better than anything we've got running around at present......many more attributes!

He wouldn't have been a saviour....maybe a naughty boy, but he does things Waite and Casboult only dream of.

Definately a trade up.

National draft picks by Carlton (not including rookie upgrades):
2007: 3
2008: 3
2009: 3
2010: 4
2011: 3
2012: 3
2013: 3

Pretty much tells us what went wrong. Turn the bloody list over. People in charge over rate our players- must think because they wear navy blue jumpers they are better then the rest. I could give you many examples of players who should have been let go years before they did but you can figure them out.

..not sure about the Mick versus board bit, from what I thought it was a chance but krooz didn't want to leave club.. ....plenty will depend on how the foot repairs, but if he heals up and he should if we let him,, then he is a keeper.. ..still young, good experience, not a faker.. ..especially looking at how plenty of our team plays, we need a player like krooz now more than ever..

..get rid of knockers, and play krooz as first ruck..

Trade them all and see if we can get the picks. Neither will be in our next Premiership side.

..some you do keep for what they bring.. ....krooz is heart and soul, bleeds for the navy blue and plays with courage, not just to take the hit or play with pain, but the selfless team acts, chasing when it hurts and you make no ground he still chases.. ..he helps set the tone, a ruck is more than just the tap, they are a 'spirit' position.. ..you wanna refresh the midfield, I agree,, but a ruck like krooz is needed as well..

:.lookit mummy now at giants, you want that hard physical relentless work horse ruck that ploughs through the stoppages and creates space and protection for the mids..

Sorry but Kreuzer is a bust, a workhorse at best

he has no value to other clubs now so we have no choice but to keep and hope he provides solid service

other clubs laugh at how we rate our own

we continually overrate our list and invest in the wrong players

Russell and Waite are perfect examples

love the way Hawthorn goes about it and are ruthless with it's list management

..the most recent trade period, he could have been packaged with sweetener for pick one, so the idea he has no value is bollocks,, more to the point most everyone knows he doesn't want to leave club hence little interest in him cos he's not seen as available..

..this wäs when played as main ruck, just last year...

Whatever happens, I don't want to hear any more of that "worth more to us than other clubs" rubbish - silly retrograde nonsense! :-x

So, if we finish 17th... any Gibbs leaves under FA, could we end up with picks 2&3 ?

Yup!
And we'll waste em yet again!

I don't care about what number picks we get anymore. I care about how we use them................ and we've pretty much wasted them all bar a couple for the past 10 years.

We could. Depends who finishes 18th.

Melbourne with Frawley going and a priority pick would really stuff us. Wouldn't mind 4 and 5 though.

And the fact that not all of them are from the first three rounds and some of them were used for mature aged players (short term fix types).
