The most valid reason I've ever heard was "more comfortable seat, 60 inch TV, unlimited supply of beer/wine of choice, flower free zone, clean toilet and no commute to/from venue"...not to mention the half-time entertainment! It's pretty hard to ignore.

That said - depending on the games on offer - I'm looking at upgrading to an 8-game package this season.

....And no arguing with flowers on both sides of the barracking divide too.....

Went to three games at Etihad this year. 2 in a corporate box, one because it was my team vs. my wife's team. The latter will be at the G this year.

Etihad's about a drop punt away from my work and it still seems grossly inconvenient.

Just a reminder that the Sydney Swans v Carlton (SCG) clash is during school holidays and while getting there isn't too much of a problem - getting back that weekend on a reasonably priced flight may prove difficult if you're leaving it until June to book your ticket.

I am going up for the game. Booked our tickets a couple of months ago. Going Virgin, got $70 fares. Heading up Thursday and returning on Sunday afternoon. Let me know when tickets for the game go on sale and where anyone going are sitting.

Just checked online, Jetstar have seats for less than $100 each way.

Been through this. Bloody hell, 16 wins at least.
