Can we get some kind of promise from the players and the club to the supporters for once?
Can they promise #HONESTY ?

Its a landmark year.. and i dont get the feeling of any honesty from this club....

There is a sense of #HOODWINK

what the @#$%&! does #BELIEVE mean... if there is no #HONESTY???

Last night there was no #HONESTY

You know I was thinking the same thing ... watching our players kick off one step in a panic when they had the ball in a tight area is because they lack confidence that a team mate will protect them by way of blocking or shepherding ... and why you may ask is the reason they lack the confidence in their team mate to protect them ??? ... because they themselves lack in this area.

There is a lot of me, me, me with this team.

The "gutless" smashing we had to have after the euphoria of the last 2 weeks. Ensured that the paper over those cracks were exposed again and the appropriate changes will be made.

Got the best of all worlds in a way. Got into the finals at the expense of Essendon* ( ), beat Richmond ( ) in a final from 9th and consequently finished above Collingwood ( ) then got the smashing we had to have to ensure change.

Funnily enough an almost perfect season!

exactly skills under pressure.

if you watch training the skills can be very good..

withches hats

if 20 of us went out there against us they would beat us by 300 points
25 of us went out there still they would win by 250 points

if a VFL reserves side went to play them they would win by 220 points
VFL team 100 points
MElb 50 points

but each time the pressure goes up the victory will be tighter..

till they play good sides and lose..

why?
cos good sides use pressure...

physical and mental pressure..

even if we fluffed things up.. there was no excuse to not work hard..

39 tackles on a night we saw lots of backsides???...

thats your indicator for the week!!!

and thats what pissed me off!!!

not because we lost.... but we didnt work at all and lost..!!!

they cheated!!!

they cheated themselves... they cheated mates of mine that went to support them..

and they let down the club and everyone associated with it

people can argue game plan all they like here

but this group cheated and didnt work and brought great shame to this club

one win from a prelim against a winged side.. and they didnt want it!!!.. cant get any lower than that in sport!!!

No heroes!!!.. noone stepped up to claim his olive branch wreath.. noone cared!!!...
AFTER so many years of being shit!!!.. icked in the teeth by everybody.. a crack opens.. and they didnt even want it enough!!!...

That mean s we have a team whos tone is to be mediocre.. its their bubble!!... theyre comfortablle in there!!!

They like it there!!!
The comfort zone of mediocrity!!!

If you read what I wrote there's alot of tongue-in-cheek about what I said.

We needed the brains beaten out of us so those flaws weren't covered over by the previous 2 weeks. We have a work ethic, attitude and culture problems that would've been heavily disguised if we fluked our way into a PF. Now MM can attack those aspects with venom.

it's like we never clicked in to the riht gear.
hats off to swannies for fighting like that, and showing us how it' done through will, passion, tons of hard work and enough talented players to hopd the structures despite losing a few quality players.
I do give our guys leeway for being tired after our personal GF last week. The poor surface may have dented their confidence to play with flair. They did start that way, but before long were back in their shells.
A few too many inexperienced/possibly less than top flight players in the team too.
Sorry if that's a little harsh.
BB like you I am ever opitmistic, while still able to see that it's probsbly gonna be longer than we want.
However, I'd prefer to dream big too. that's just our nature.
Of course the pragmatic point of view is equally valid.
So this year, we are a top 8 side, and really, the best outside the 4, aswe did recently beat Port.
Next year, I reckon we're a great chance to be from 6 to 4.
So there gloomy ones.
can't wait to see who we pick up.

When we got the contested ball we were tackled and gang tackled.
They gave us no time and no space.

What did we do?

We coralled them, herded them, shepherded them, (and we have all year) and they just gave it off and fast.

We gave them time and space in a final. The ticker thing is another story.

Why dont our players just charge their opponent at the hips...full steam?????
Its easy to do and its standard for finals. Non negotiable.

Were they fatigued?
Were they saving them selves for the last?
Were they just dishonest with their commitment.
We are talking about guys who are paid handsomely to commit to the non negotiables.

Is it the coach?
I dont want to take pot shots here because MM has only been here for a year.

The players lacked something in the desire stakes (we've seen them do it in patches during the season).

The boys bent over and let the Swans have their way. Simple as that.
Or they were fatigued. Which one?

I believe we could have run over them in the last, if the scores were within 2-3 goals at 3/4 time. They had the strength to do that so I dont believe its just fatigue from the Richmond game 6 days earlier.

They didnt want to do the hard work: Grunt. They dont have Grunt. Meek perhaps.

okeefe does a thigh at the siren...

the point is .. how much do our players want succeess???

swans do..

theyre winning stuff but they still have an appetite...

our players dont care... they care only about their comfort zone

There are a couple of exceptions...but im lumping them all in together as its a team sport...!!!.. and they are defined by their team mates...

The ones that care should punch the ones that dont in the face!!

The ones that dont are selfish!

kudos to you for your optimism but I think we will miss the eight

still too heavily reliant on an ageing Judd and Murphy

too many gaps on our list with no real depth, this won't change in one off season

we are 3 -5 years away if it all goes well

and it hasn't started well with talk of a 29 year old Staker possibly coming to the Blues

Does an attempted tackle count? We had plenty.

need a heart to tackle...
our over reliance on murphy and judd is now our achilles heel

these guys dont chase back

and murphy needs someone better so he isnt the main man

yes he is carrying a knee.. but alot of great players are ...

and some new coaching staff??
dunno..things might click a whole lot sooner than 3 to 5 years I reckon.
McVeigh needed to be stopped. did not happen. was puzzled by that.

you cant escape the fact that we kicked the ball to him 20 times in one quarter...

think about that for a minute...

I have thought that so many times this year,
but then look at the reactions when they beat tiggers..
I love that stuff. makes you fall in love with the team again.
I guesss we all hoped they'd show that again but they slipped back.
i think it's more loss of confidence than loss of passion. after all, we've seen the passion.
Juddy last week...Simmo..scotty.
nah, it is there..just battered about. (there might be a couple of exceptions to that)

if you were a space traveller and ived forever....where does the universe end....???
or what is love????...

its just best not to think about us with any rational kind of thinking....

i hear that mick cant get his head around our club too......true..!!!...not talking about the things u do see.. (the team).. but the things we dont see.. (the club )

Yes a pathetic effort
where are all those posters from last week

the club must change
board of six
high standards
get rid of players who wont chase and just want to be average

the first thing is the big one
