didnt we learn from the mistake of letting one Cloke into the club, why let a second..............

Imagine David Cloke watching our games week in, week out - couldnt stand him as a player, but as Travis's Manager in teh stands :banghead:

The only positive about getting Cloke would be to see the look on Fat Ed's fat face

That would be gold, but then we would probably be cringing for the next 5 years

Enlighten me.

Most of the reasons are bunk. The only valid one is potential salary cap issues but we really have no idea how our salaries are structured and it could be a non issue.

One problem is by this time next year he'll have played 195 games. His old man played 300 so perhaps his genes are on his side, but to sign him up for five years would be to do so expecting him to play 300 games which is not playing the percentages.

Whilst I don't have a lot of confidence in Cloke being our forward line "messiah", I can't help picture him playing KP Half Forward with another "naughty boy" in Fev, leading out of the goal square (via the rookie draft) as the other KP forward, to really mess with any opposition back line's plans, and potentially really blow open our premiership window for a couple of short years. Having Eddie, Garlett, Simmo, Yarran, Judd, Walker, Bell, Gibbs, Murphy, Bell and others potentially dealing with the scraps would certainly make the forward line appear to be much more potent. Add some pace around the ball, and tidy up the back-line with the addition of a fit Hendo, Laidler and Jamison and it shouldn't be too hard to imagine a strong top four finish is entirely possible.

Could you then consider the scenario of recruiting Cloke for three years at K800 per year plus performance bonuses, and giving Fev a rookie contract for scraps and performance based bonuses to keep the b@#$%^&d honest and focused?

Rose-colored glasses are definitely in place tonight but heck it is such a long time until we get another real shot at having a crack at finals football, you have to start your dreams somewhere.

Played tonight like he wanted to stay at filth land.

Don't think he will be going anywhere

He's not worth $1m.
