The way he's played since late last year I don't think that's a disaster.
Free up a lot space in the salary cap.
Might be an opportunity to go knocking on GWS's door.

Top 4 was gone weeks ago but the aim should still be to salvage something from the season. Giving Lucas & Kerr a go shouldn't stop us getting into the 8.

It will probably be Hawks, filth, scum, swans & saints that stop us

If we have to wait 'till then to "get going" the season will be over.

I'm almost convinced you need 14 wins to make the top 8 this year (saw a ladder prediction which had a team on 13 not making it)...so at 6-6 can only afford to drop 2 more. So if we have another 2 'brave' losses (Essendon* seem to rate these, I hope we don't) against Hawks and Pies that will put us at 6-8 meaning we'll need to win 8 on the trot... (havent won more than 3 in a row since 2004?)

Finals are nigh on impossible...don't know why people can't see this. At best we'll make a late charge for 9th/10th. :banghead:

Would the most sensible thing to do be to play with a view to 2013? Probably.

Kev it was tongue in cheek!

the problem we now have is we really don't know how the players rate individually under a true set of structures.
so we don't know what we are tossing out end of season.
so many players only know to play under the guidance of rats.

players have turned their careers around before.

but they can't under this coach.

WCE won by 10 behinds.
That's 10 more shots at goal than us.
They deserved the victory.

Had it not been for some really bias umpiring we would have stolen the game.
So I say flower umpires give me the shits no end.

As for the endeavour of the players, I thing the Weagles showed more desire and desperation.

Do not get the Juddster. No impact at all. Not protected by the umps.
He receives 50 elbpws to the arm and torso in the game and gets not one free, and he does it once and is pinged.
Sorry to say, but Judd plays like an old man in 2012.
It looks like his days are numbered.

Joseph wasn't too good, but he had a good hard go.
Like Judd, Jamison gives me the shits this year. So ordinary.
I know we don't have an alternative but week in week out he has a brain fade.
He gives easy free kicks away which are close to goal. Why give them an easy shot from a free?
He should have been given that free for arms chopped, but then again, he got away with a few himself.
Warnock was fair dinkum hopeless. Hopeless.
Good to see Kreuzer kick a couple but he's pretty ordinary too.

Good effort to nearly steal the game, but that's it folks.
Season 2012 for Carlton and Ratts looks over at the half way mark....we're cooked.

As I mentioned to a mate last night...a miracle can happen if the stars all line up ala Hawks 2008.
I wouldn't count on that.

Great effort by Carrots and Scotto.
Carrots is a very very good footballer. Perfect? No, but no one is perfect.

I love how we use the old chestnut that weagles should have won by more if they kicked straight yet when we kick badly we deserved to lose.

Enough is enough.
Get rid of the mid coach, the forward coach and the head coach.
The players don't know the fundamentals of how to set up.
With all the meetings and studying they do they have totally screwed up the players natural instinct.
WC were forever out the back then side for space and no one ever picked them off.
The forward "structure" is and always has been a joke which is magnified when we constantlykick to the defenders advantage.
FMD what !@#$ are they paid for.
End it now for god sake.
I thought or hoped the were going in the right direction but should have stayed with my initial reaction when Ratten was appointed.

For me his floater across the ground to Jamison was the game changer that let WC back into the game, why the @#$%&! he didn't kick it down the line I'll never know.

This is not a one year turn around. It is a complete rebuild. All our good players are over 26 & we have not got games into the young players. Added to that we need to learn a new game plan. Ratten is the worst Carlton Coach of the last 50 years, at least Thorgood could say he made preliminary finals. Nice guys do finish last.

I reckon it was Joseph's clanger in the last that turned the game.
The guy has no composure and terrible skills.......ALWAYS coughs the ball up under pressure. Bloody always does!

Anyway I can see a few positives from tonight considering it was our 3rd consecutive 6 day turnaround, Yarran and Kreuzer not 100% and of course Murphy still to come back into the side.

Don't forget Laidler, he is another player who's importance to the team is underrated & while Waite can be very hot and cold the forward line seems to function better with him in the side.

That's sad when you really think about it.
One whole team hanging it's hopes on one player regardless on who it is.
What does that show?
Lack of depth?
Lack of confidence?
Lack of leadership?
Lack of structures?

Which part of that was outrageous? Some of you guys have us written off before the first bounce, should've been making up numbers in the Carlton Hate Campaign at Pattersons tonight. We were far from perfect but given how incredibly tilted the scales were tonight there was lots to like. If we play with that intensity we're a chance any game. You're quick to explain away other teams, how about cutting your own a bit of slack and looking at what's going right? That third quarter showed what we can do, what we all know we can do. If they bring that to the Hawks at the G, are we or are we not in it? It's certainly doable and the win is there if we execute it.

Whoops, sorry. SACK RATTS SACK STICKS DEREGISTER THE CLUB WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!111

Baaahhhhhhhh

Better?
