To quote the movie 300 "This is where we fight, This is where they die!" ... "Give them nothing, but take from them everything!"
Go out there and leave nothing on the ground Blues!

Any surprises with the 25 who boarded for Perth?

Don't know about it being a giant slip n slide Thursday.

The last few days has been old school Perth weather. Pisses down for 5-10 minutes then a break for 30 minutes to a few hours.

Subi drains like beach sand so it's entirely likely it won't be that wet at all.

But it's been blowing like mad for 3 days, very gusty swirly winds, if that continues Subi is a tricky oval to play. Cigar shaped means that , when kicking into the breeze, you MUST kick low, hard and accurate or run the ball (probably our best bet) because the press will be tight as buggery. When kicking with it just get it in the 50m arc anyway you can, uglier the better.

You HAVE to win the centre clearances against the wind, coz if it get's in the 50m arc and you are kicking against it, good luck.

we should be primed for a good game then, given our shitehouse disposal over the past month, we'll look pretty classy. at least the forwards will be ready for the ball to hit the ground, and our defenders will probably get the ball landing in their laps! I'm EXCITED!!!!

I have hundreds of military motivation speeches..some absolute ripsnorters but taking the forum in general I thought something everyone would be familiar with would suffice and quite apt I think.

Would desperately love to pinch a win for so many reasons.

My head says we've got absolutely no chance. Somewhere deep in my heart there is some strange hope that we may play four quarters of committed, contested, hardnosed footy and cause a major boilover.

The way we are going, I know my head will likely win out. I sure hope my heart does though.
