Being an established AFL player he probably does have a good residence

Did you think of him when he played seniors 2 weeks ago?

When he got called up I was wrapt coz at least I may have been wrong and what I heard incorrect!

I am no different to anyone else when I say I want him to stay!
But if that's the penance he may have paid for 'potentially' talking to gws so be it..

Well, you're different to those who don't want him to stay, aren't you?

During the Bullants match, they commented that his manager said he hadn't got over a recent op as quickly as he wanted, which impacted his pre-season training, which has impacted his fitness levels to play at AFL standard...

OMG!! He might be telling the truth!!

I've kept quiet but I'll add 2 cents. I was at the St Kilda game right at the fence line and saw JR run past a number of times.

The one comment I made that EVERYONE around me agreed with was that he looked unfit for AFL level. He was blowing harder than a Franga Banga on an episode of RBT.

By midway through the third quarter he was well and truly stuffed. Hands on his knees at most stoppages, and when the momentum went the other way, he was the last guy to get back. You could almost see him praying "geez I hope the ball doesn't come this way"

This is no disrespect to the man, but you could see that he lacked the polish of someone who had been playing AFL all year long.

And that's my 2 cents. No refunds.

That's all very interesting.......because you can only do two cents through credit card transactions these days. Interesting times we live in.

Swannie on SEN

Gibbs doubtful..(this week...read no way this week)
Kruezer puzzling injury..has been to 3 top specialists...no risks will be taken with who they consider a 10 year player
Jordy Russell contracted for 2012 as Mr. Caz has patiently pointed out..
He is in the mix with Kane Lucas..Hammer...(actually wasn't convinced when he spoke about him.)..he said Jordy and Kane unlucky to miss last week..and said Brock was great.
<ale of it what you will.

Yes bg72, JR is contracted this year and next, but the GWS are able to take uncontracted players at the end of 2012 - not just 2011. Not saying this is what will happen, just the reality. Through good development and recruiting of Duigan and Laidler and Tuohy we are now in a position to be able to let a player like JR go without it damaging the team structure.

It's all hypothetical and no one really knows who will be where by the end of 2012 - even the players themselves, I suspect.

Hmmm..ok..I get you. I guess anything can happen.
I agree that circumstances have definitely changed in our backline.
Would love to see Jordy back with a full pre- season under his belt though..and I hope he stil loves, and feels a part of CFC.

Duke the point of most of this thread stems from the suggestion (offered as fact by some) that JR is off to GWS at the end of 2011. Obviously that can only happen if CFC agrees to it. To put it bluntly...'CFC is in the box seat' if A) JR wanted to go and B) if GWS wanted him. 2012 is a totally different ball game as you have pointed out. But so it is for many other players in the AFL who will be out of contract come the end of 2012 i.e Goddard apparently.

So whenever anyone reads the BS about JR wanting to leave Carlton they should just shrug their shoulders and repeat the mantra 'Box Seat'

Regards Cazzesman

I'd be very nervous if I was mid-table and on a downward trend with a player like Goddard out of contract. Not nervous of GWS, but nervous of CFC :smoking: .
