I'm not saying Ratts is to blame.
My concern is that he's sent back onto the field and then misses 8-10 weeks of footy.
If he had a partial tear and then it became a full tear, the decision was wrong.
Now they always say, "The injury was no worse after he went back on the field"
I don't buy that.
It ruined Whitehead's career.
Curnow looked like a cripple when they sent him back on the field with a broken collarbone.

What is wrong with playing it safe????

its important that the club doesnt play unfit players in finals
Its amazing how nearly every year teams do it and pay a price
I want Jamo in the team ,but if he isnt right and has lost too much fitness he shoudnt play.

I agree with you. Unfortunately, Simon Black would not, and clubs get seduced by that.

For me, our true window opens next year. We should do nothing this year that might set back our preparations for 2011. If that means putting Jamison in cotton wool for the rest of the year, so be it.

With the Bullants first having a bye this weekend I noticed that Bower and O'Halpin are named to play in the Bullants seconds this week. I think it is fortunate that when we have a bye in Round 23 the Bullants will be playing.

Have you got anything to suggest this was the case?

my physio told me he saw jamo limping at the hospital 2 or 3 days ago and says that's not a good sign. he reckons it's highly unlikely he'll return in 2 weeks make of it what you will

Yet someone was saying that he's running and kicking at training. How does that work?

Maybe running with a limp and kicking with his other leg.

If he's not going to make ti back I'd prefer the club just say so. Let the media and footy world write us off, release some pressure, then watch us go whack.

Well....... I once knew a footballer who performed his own knee reconstruction and was back playing the next week wearing a very large splint - make of that what you will... :sly:

I don't understand the need to hide injury. Who are they hiding it from?
Surely you're better off saying that player A is injured and wont play next week only to select him on Thursday. Doing it the other way around only makes the opposition happy when they hear all week player A is going to play and then he's out come match day.

I don't get it.

Anyway that's just me. :?

My wife saw him limping at the club while buying me a hoodie the week before the West Coast game.

Why's Jamo buying you a hoodie? He should be resting, damn him.
