They had better bloody win. Sick of having to travel to Melbourne to see them win, rather than the comfort of a stroll to the SCG. Top level of Etihad will be comfortable this week.

Carlton by 49 points. Mitch, the ginger dominator (for some reason he reminds me of Wayne Johnston) BOG.

Sorry if this has already been brought up, but is this match really only going to air at 11:30pm???

Are they trying to compete with the world cup???

Bloody ridiculous. Demetriou and his band of lazy morons really stitched the public up when they negotiated the last TV rights.

Danger game this. If you look at North's averages this year they tend to either get thumped by 50ish, or they grind out a narrow win.

Very very very important to get out to a good start to quiet them.

When was the last time we won 3 in a row??
I will be very impressed if we can keep our focus and go into the break with another win, but I will not be surprised if we are not on our game tomorrow.

I think Carrazzo should play on Boomer.

this is exactly the sort of game that we have been losing but need to win to take the next step.
- a team we should beat
- having won the past 2 matches
- the opposition lose key players for the game (eg. Hale, Petrie-kind of) & we seem to think it will be easy
we will not be a genuine top 4 contender unless we beat ALL the weaker teams that we should beat (eg. Ess) and we should be able to string several wins together. yet, we have not even won 3 in a row this year!

in: armfield, yarran
out: browne, anderson

This is exactly why I am concerned. This year's form shows we can't string more than 2 wins in a row together nor beat weaker teams (although Hawthorn haven't lost since they beat us)
Add North being a bit fired up due a big home game/25th anniversary of night footy/publicity surrounding their lack of supporters, and we have a real danger game on our hands.
Play the way we've played the last two weeks - poor kicking and fadeouts - and it could be a bit ugly.

Think we should win, but won't be surprised if we lose.

ETA: TV guide shows 8.30pm Channel 7.

Thats OK, well just get Eddie to pat them on the head at qrt time.

You need to watch out for that dorito forrito who will try and attack some of our kids. North have nothing going for them and have to try and use the media to make a point, like when Scott tried to put the acid on Acker before the doggies game. There just trying to put there hand out again for more.

Just go out and smash them on the scoreboard in the first qrt, then rub them up.

Glad Army is back in.

Thought Grigg was stiff not even an emergency but that is a problem you have when players ahead of you are in form.

Get on the Bullants this week whoever they are playing they should have a star studded team:

Bower
Yarran
McLean
Lucas
Henderson
Hammer
Warnock
etc

Crud. A much more balanced team for them. Would have much preferred them to keep Hale in.

No Yarran is fine. I like it. Puts pressure on Betts and Garlett to perform knowing he's knocking.

One thing sticks out compared to the last time we played them when they had a new coach (obv not counting crocker)

In: Depth
Out: Mcgrath, Deluca, Prendergast et al., and kicking the ball long to 3 opposing defenders at all costs.

Yarran has been serviceable in 2010, but hardly a walk up start IMO

Hadley (Brock), Garlett/Betts (Yazz), Setanta/Thornton (Hendo) have ppl breathing down their back, which is great

I probably won't get much support for this, but I would've preferred Joey to stay in and Browne to come out, rather than the other way round. I think there's a little bit more to work with in Joey, he just needs the backing of the coach and the confidence. Was good the last few weeks until the rain came last week. A little harsh to be dropped really. Not saying Browne has done much wrong either, mind you.

Yep i was hoping they would go for a super tall forward line and playing into our hands. Sadly it looks like they are on to us (or got lucky with injury).

Big test for our running backline.

Yeah, but Yaz is far too good to be running around in the red jumper. Must be not quite ready to come straight back in............surely.

I try to be as supportive as possible to the younger players but his decision making under pressure is very suspect IMO. Browne has shown something the past two weeks and shown a bit of polish at times when it has been lacking by others.
