What an arsey goal by Solomon.

Bower was fantastic with his spoil and had it covered, but Thornton ran back with the flight and left Solomon as the only man down. :banghead: :hitcomputer:

No talk...

Thornton was brave, but stupid.

Story of Thorntons career really...

Byron Schammer to challenge ban

BYRON Schammer will challenge a one-match suspension for striking at the Tribunal on Tuesday night.

The Dockers' midfielder was charged with a level two striking offence against Carlton's Marc Murphy in Saturday's clash on the Gold Coast.

Because he had 70.31 demerit points carried over from a previous offence earlier this year, Schammer faced a one-match ban even if he took the early guilty plea.

I wonder if the club will go for pay back, and get Murphy to tell the investigators about how nauseas and confused he's been feeling.

He Beat it....

"Rafferty argued the video evidence showed Schammer's arm move across Murphy's chest and take with it the Carlton player's guernsey.

He argued that Schammer never punched Murphy in the stomach - as stated by umpire Stephen McBurney - and that the Blue had winced after the initial contact, thereby staging for a free kick. "

Watch out Murph - I think the time is coming where you have to be careful not to get yourself tagged as a serial stager....

A QC argues that Smurph staged for a free kick and you take that as being gospel?

Check the footage again as he definitely hit him in the abdominal region.

I know it looked like a shot on Saturday night, too.... :)
I didn't mean I agreed with the verdict, just more that I think Murph is getting a bit of a reputation (warranted or not) and he needs to make sure he doesn't let that get out of hand.... I already think Umps won't pay high contact on him....

He does stage a bit actually...
