Byron Schammer to challenge ban BYRON Schammer will challenge a one-match suspension for striking at the Tribunal on Tuesday night.
The Dockers' midfielder was charged with a level two striking offence against Carlton's Marc Murphy in Saturday's clash on the Gold Coast.
Because he had 70.31 demerit points carried over from a previous offence earlier this year, Schammer faced a one-match ban even if he took the early guilty plea.
I wonder if the club will go for pay back, and get Murphy to tell the investigators about how nauseas and confused he's been feeling.

"Rafferty argued the video evidence showed Schammer's arm move across Murphy's chest and take with it the Carlton player's guernsey.
He argued that Schammer never punched Murphy in the stomach - as stated by umpire Stephen McBurney - and that the Blue had winced after the initial contact, thereby staging for a free kick. "

A QC argues that Smurph staged for a free kick and you take that as being gospel?
Check the footage again as he definitely hit him in the abdominal region.
