Greg Swann should understand that a museum isn't a money making proposal. It's somewhere you can go to remember, reflect and immerse your kids into the proud history of the Carlton Football club. Whether I go there 1 time or 50 is irrelevant.
Our club too often expects our proud history to set standards for the players and dwells on our successes as some sort of inbred expectation yet fails to foster and preserve it.
A disappointing stance from the guardians of our club IMO.
Thank God the "Spirit of Carlton" group was formed by former players and staff to preserve and reunite some aspects of our history. Not to forget the hardworking people behind the Blueseum.

The benefits from a museum should be measured in terms of brand awareness, supporter retention, increased memebrship and merchandise sales not just ticket sales revenue, that is short sighted. It is an opportunity to display our rich history and proud heritage. As previously mentioned, Swann may be looking at the idea from a purely commercial point of view, as he does not have the same emotional links that we do.
