With the suspension you'll need to wait for a few more weeks at least...

He should sit it out and spoil Collingwood's flag unfurling.

The Blueseum's great friend 'WillowBlue' has uncovered an interesting stat from the Round 1 fixture:

http://www.blueseum.org/tiki-index.php? ... +1%2C+2011

Eddie Betts (one word!) has overtaken the great Syd Jackson as Carlton's leading indigenous goalkicker. As most would be aware, Syd was actually at the game and part of the 'ball handover process' (well he put the ball in the air before the game).

Congratulations Eddie.

If you go to the CFC website there is footage of Eddie receiving a ball from Syd in the same video as Scotland receiving his 200th award.

Bit of an odd thing to celebrate, IMO.

Would've thought indigenous players are such a normal and integral part of the game now, that you wouldn't really bother keeping separate milestones for them.

Should we also give Setanta an award for most goals for Carlton from an Irishman?

Was great to see Syd there to give Eddie his award (although the trophy looked a suburban B&F sort of thing). You could tell it meant a lot to Eddie, and it was good to see the reverance our indigenous lads have for him. Given we had Eddie, Jeff, Yazz and Walker all there, might've made for a good photo op (where were you on that one, comms dept??).

As for Juddy, a great milestone for a great player. In a way I think it's good that it will come against a new team playing their first game. Might give the local fans a real sense of what this game is about. As great as it would be for him to have a blinder in his 200th, I admit I'd prefer the other guys around him to "give him the night off" for the occasion and do the work for him.

But be warned people. The sooking we've heard from filth supporters over the Brownlow will be tenfold as the hype for this builds.

Setanta is leading by a long way over Tommy O'Day (8), his brother (zero), Michael Shields (zero), Zach Tuohy (zero, currently) and Colin Corkery (zero).

Interesting byline in the stats this year. We made a big deal last year out of Judd being our top goalkicker once Fevola departed, and now it looks like we have a 3-horse race to be the first Blue to kick 200 goals in their career:

betts 170
Judd 182, leading
Waite 155...a distant third?

Let's see who gets there first.

No clear milestones that we can see this week, but keep an eye out for Round 4 when Scotland plays his 150th Carlton game.

Matthew Watson has become the first Blue in about 15 years or so to debut in a 100 point + win. Can you name the last Blue to do this?

Scotland's 150th game in Navy Blue coming up this weekend - a great milestone for the ex-Pie.
