pros: Marc Murphy - he is a star
cons: without Fev kicking a bag we are still rubbish
Carlton lost the game more than Adelaide won it. Carlton should be beating teams like the Crows now.

These 2 statements of yours are antithetical to each other.

Fev played a shocker, and we still got close to a quality side.

So, which is it? We're rubbish without Fev, or we should have won, even though Fev didn't feature in the match?

I know u don't actually see many games. You live vicariously through this website while some of us actually attend the games. We lost by 5 goals and Fev kicked 1. Fev shouldn't need to kick 8 every week for us to win. But with duds like Russell kicking into the man on the mark from a set shot barely 30m out what do you expect.

Jammo and Bower both impressed me (especially the former). They are still green obviously, but you can see they know what they are doing and will continue to improve.

Unlike Luke Livingston.

I'm fully on the Bower train - young fella is getting to be quite the ducks nuts.... A few more big games under his belt will do him the world of good. By next year we'll be paying twice the money to keep our sponsorship.... :)

You obviously rate us a little higher than most. The Crows are still a good side who should make the 8. So going by this, should we be making the 8 this year?

I know - I know - and did you see that little blonde fella knock one from the sideline, but miss an absolute gimme from in front?
Oh sorry -that was Akka in the bulldogs game, but isn't it amazing that even the truly brilliant players do stupid things with the football sometimes....

FFS - give the kid a break - it's funny that a lot of outside commentators are giving him a wrap when he's forever getting traded to the Eagles for their waterboy's legless baby on this site....

No, I agree with your statement about JR kicking into the man on the mark. That should stop in the U13s.

We simply aren't as good as Adelaide at this point, especially when we're playing a 2-man bench with one of our best defenders out.

While I was disappointed with the loss yesterday, as I too thought we should have been able to win, given how badly we actually played, I think we did pretty well to get as close to the Crows as 5 goals.

All it would have taken yesterday was a marginal improvement by a handful of players, and we would have come away with a great win.

McLeod had 8 more disposals, 5 less critical errors, and 1 more goal...i think he had more impact on the game tbh

Incedently you keep failing to mention 8 more tackles...oh yeah sorry that was in JR's favour!

Mcleod had 33 disposals last week and IMO this week was well held by an improving player.

FFS some people on this site need to get off JR's back. He was easily in our best players yesterday but still cant get a positive word from some people! I think we all acknowledge improvement was required. You got it, now pay some credit where it is due. Yesterday he earned a spot for next week. I just hope he keeps improving.

Wow.......bagging Bower. May not be the best kick in the world, but he's been great for us this year, and getting better all the time. Browne FFS !!! was his first game and he did well, and will be a 10 year player for us
bower is good, but sometimes his kick lets him down, i suppose what i said doesnt apply to him...i know he will be a great player in the future and he's getting better everyweek

Kicking into the man on the mark shouldn't happen I know, but it does occasionally. One of our recent captains was known to do it and he apparently had the greatest footballing brain the world has ever known!

The poor kid has shown some improvement in the last couple of weeks yet is copping more flack now

Mate, your just stating the bare facts of a player who's been given numerous opportunities but has failed to deliver anything of significance in his 34 games at our club...

OMG what a difference a week makes and one loss.

Grigg made a couple of mistakes - but guess what, he is a young player and he's going to make mistakes. Why do people keep expecting players with less than 30-50 games experience to come in and consistently make right decisions?

Bower is gradually getting better with experience. He made countless errors last year and a few games earlier this year but you can see he is getting better and not making as many mistakes. Stop expecting the world from young, inexperienced players.

The same people bagging Russell would be complaining that he wasn't getting an extended run in the seniors. He is getting that opportunity and slowly he is improving.

Agree 100%. I'm hot and cold on Russell, but thought despite his errors he played well.
