Do Essendon* and Collingwood have a bigger overall dsupporter base?

I have always felt that they always out number us at games. probably say by 15% - 20%??

don't worry about the quantity, feel the quality :)

Got my membership card a couple of weeks back. :-D

Got it stolen along with my wallet and keys yesterday. :(

When they send me a new card can we count that in the total? :?

Too late. :(

All cards and locks (company and home) have been changed.

In the end it's just money and hassle (I don't currently have an identity  ) - there are a lot worse things that can happen to you.

Thanks for the sympathy anyway...

Finally got around to renewing the camel’s memberships for 2008.

The nice lady on the phone told me last she heard our tally was just over 26K.

Oddly though, it looks being a problem to only have one issue of the magazine sent to our address. I remember a couple of years ago it was possible to choose for only one copy of the mage per household, presumably that was a cost driven measure. Given Mr Pratt’s willingness to support the environment I would have thought this would be a no brainer...

...anyone have his email address?! ;)

Signed up in Dec 07 when it first came out. Nothing in the letterbox. Wife and daughter both have theirs.

Rang up the membership dept and the person I spoke with said it's probably lost in the mail and he'll send another pack out. Hopefully it comes soon. Cannot wait!

They should really register membership mail. Some pretty important stuff in there...

I get the feeling we can rule out 40,000 this year.

Most people join up when the season proper starts [I know I do].

I expect to break 40K and if we don't I won't be happy.

On 2 March last year we were at 22,500 members.

March is a bit over a week away, and by then we should be close to 5K ahead of where we were at the same stage last year.

40K is still achievable.

I reckon about the same this year, possibly 36K. The flow of members for 2007 has slowed and even though a lot of Carlton members join up before season proper I doubt 40K will be reached

Not sure why people are ruling out 40K at this stage. :?

Unfortunately I accidentally ditched the data that built the graph below when I switched computers and I can't be arsed compiling it again but based on that graph we've never been above 20,000 by today's date (though we probably were in 2003 but there was a dearth of data around the same point).

This date last year's not on the graph but according to the Herald Sun on the 21st of Feb last year we were on 19532.

So...

...if we're at 26,500 today (that's 35% up on last year!) we're going to absolutely spank the record and go beyond 40,000 reasonably comfortably. :-D

Anyone else still waiting for reserved seats to be allocated. The people i sit with tried to change our seats this year. We were told we would have them after 26/1 after renewing in mid Dec and we're still waiting for them.
