Let's hope he meant Red and the Hack.

Fev, I would say, is safe.

Seriously, if you get smashed by Laycock in the ruck, something stinks.

Injury or not.....Fev is still spitting too many dummies for my liking......a lack of self control is not a good example for the kids; and a lack of respect for the Jumper.

I would bite the bullet and trade him.

Ackland's a joke and probably one of the biggest reasons why we are so hell bent on getting Kruezer..

Why keep paying $500,000 to a player that continually argues with the Umpire about a free kick while his back is turned to the play in his own goal square; enabling his opponent to casually run off with the ball unimpeded ?

I agree, I actually think this is a major issue for Ratts now he will be appointed coach, and his team. If they allow him to stay it sends a bad message to the rest of the group. Trade him and make it clear to the playing group that this crap won't be tolerated as the culture needs changing!!!

..there's more than one way to skin the proverbial..

..definately keep Fev.. ..now, onto alternative ways to make the playing group realise that such silliness won't be tolerated.. ..come training, whip Fev around the track & field 'til he throws up.. ..goals are his bread and butter, play him up the ground rather than at FF.. ..enlist him in the freakin' army reserves, etc etc etc..

The Blues were also waiting last night to speak to full-forward Brendan Fevola, who after having his season curtailed by injury celebrated long and hard after Anthony Koutoufides' testimonial dinner on Sunday evening.

Fevola missed a team session he was expected at by some club officials, who were surprised by his absence and aware of his late night out.

It is understood Fevola was absent because he was meeting doctors for three scans on his hands and groin and that there had been a miscommunication with some officials at the club.

Football manager Steven Icke said he would not comment until he had spoken to Fevola.

Finish him!

I was under the impression that Ratts has said Fev would stay if he got the gig.
Well, he's got it.
Whitnall is a diffreent story and has to prove his worth. I reckon a one year contract on about 250K is in the offing, take it or leave (it).
I have been a proponent of trading Fev and still am.

So when Barry Hall spits the dummy - that is ok?

When Dermott Brereton used to spit the dummy - is that ok?

What about when Cam Mooney dummy spitts?

Tony Lockett?

See a pattern here - it is full forwards who often dummy spit, but in their different ways. Yes, I know Dunstall, Wade etc were model citizens, but some full-forwards are fire crackers, and Hall, Mooney and Fevola fall into that category.

Which type of dummy spitting is ok and which isn't? None is ok, but if you want to criticise Fevola also be willing to criticise the other players.

Yes, Fevola needs a shrink to get his mind right, yes he needs to be disciplined if things are derailed, yes he has some downside, but he is a talent - a unique talent and is passionate about the club. This factor should be a major asset in my opinion.

Strangely enough; I am not concerned or even interested in what Hall, Lockett, Brereton or Mooney do or don't do.....you see; I'm a Carlton supporter posting on a Carlton supporter site.

You have your opinions and I have mine.

Greg Williams was probably spat the dummy more than any player in our history but no one gives a @#$%&! when we're winning.
Fevola is just the simpleton's scapegoat.
